Angela , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I spent more than a decade in tech, leading global operations, privacy, and legal strategy at high growth tech companies like Meta & Google. My career moved fast. My life moved fast. I was constantly bouncing between high-stakes meetings, long flights, and workouts squeezed in wherever they could fit. But I could never find pieces that matched that rhythm — clothing that moved with me, but also reflected the woman I’d worked hard to become. So I created it.
SABLE + SAGE was born out of that tension between function and presence. I wanted elevated pieces that felt intentional — quiet luxury for women who are doing a lot, holding a lot, and still showing up with excellence. Women who value wellness, but are not living in the gym. Women who want their clothes to meet the moment, not dictate it.
Starting this brand meant betting on myself in a new way. I went from reviewing AI policies and negotiating global contracts to choosing fabrics, testing samples, and building a business that feels deeply personal. And somewhere in that journey — between the late-night edits, the pop-ups, and the community we’ve built — I realized SABLE + SAGE isn’t just a brand. It’s the lifestyle I always wished existed: polished, purposeful, and made for motion.
That’s how I got here: by following the gap I saw in my own life, and building something for the women who live in that same beautiful, demanding, ever-moving space.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? Not even a little! But it’s been absolutely worth it.
Transitioning from tech executive to founder taught me very quickly that building a brand is equal parts vision, persistence, and a borderline-unhinged level of optimism.
On the practical side, manufacturing was my first reality check. Minimum order quantities, shifting timelines, inconsistent samples — there were days when I wondered if the universe was questioning my life choices on purpose. I had to learn the supply chain language in real time, negotiate with factories across time zones, and make calls that affected cash flow, branding, and production all at once.
Then there’s the emotional side — the part no one prepares you for. Moving from a world where I led large teams and multimillion-dollar programs to becoming a one-woman engine was humbling. You’re suddenly the designer, the operations team, the creative director, the customer service rep… and sometimes the person packing orders at midnight with protein coffee and a prayer.
But every challenge forced clarity: Who is this brand for? What do I want it to represent? How do I build something that lasts?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it has been incredibly refining. SABLE + SAGE exists today because I kept moving — even when the path curved, dipped, and tried to throw me off. And honestly? I think that grit is woven into the brand just as much as the fabric.

SABLE + SAGE is a luxury athleisure brand created for women in motion — the women who lead, pivot, manage, multitask, and still find space for wellness, style, and self-possession. We design elevated performance essentials that move seamlessly through a full day: morning meetings, Pilates, school drop-offs, flights, errands, kids’ sports practices, and the in-between moments where life actually happens.
What we’re known for is intentionality. Every fabric, seam, silhouette, and color story is chosen to honor three things: polish, presence, and ease. Especially ease. Our pieces feel luxurious, perform beautifully, and maintain their quiet confidence no matter where you take them. Each collection is crafted to develop a polished uniform for easy day to day living. We make so many decisions everyday…I wanted to create collections that would remove the thinking required for “what will I wear today?” and make something so easy and polished you could pick it out in the dark (which I sometimes have to do!).
What sets us apart is that we’re not chasing trends or performance extremes. We’re designing for real life — specifically for executive women who want to look pulled-together without overthinking it. Our community values wellness but isn’t living in the gym. They care about quality. They appreciate beautiful details. They want to feel like themselves in their clothes, not squeezed into someone else’s idea of ‘activewear.’
Brand-wise, I’m proudest of the consistency: the storytelling, the aesthetic, the fit, the way women immediately recognize our pieces because they feel like SABLE + SAGE. We’ve built a visual and emotional identity that speaks to a woman who has evolved — and wants her wardrobe to evolve with her.
