Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Edwards.
Hi Ashley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am an Atlanta-raised Georgia Peach, coming from a Faith-based home, in which the desire to serve was instilled in me at a young age. I am a graduate of Georgia State University, taking up Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality. I obtained my Real Estate license immediately after graduating college in 2011. Soon after licensing, I began to see my passion for Real Estate transform from a hobby to a career choice. I then obtained my Real Estate Broker License, with the goal of starting a Real Estate company where I can minister to those around me, through Real Estate.
Over the years, I have served as a Realtor and Investor Specialist, working with an array of different individuals from buyers, to sellers, to investors, as well as served in roles such as Project and Property Manager for clients in need of extended services beyond the purchase of Real Estate.
In 2022, I decided to further niche my Real Estate business, by becoming a Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist, in which I am able to help families navigate through the Probate process, and protect their family’s assets, in particular their Real Estate. It was experiences faced during these times that encouraged me to build a business around the resources necessary to ensure legacy and wealth amongst the family unit.
In the coming years, I see my Real Estate career transforming from selling real estate, to helping those individuals who own Real Estate, be able to preserve it, in an effort to create, build, and maintain a generational wealth plan for their families.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, try new foods, and try different relaxation activities. I have two daughters, ages 11 and 8, who keep me very busy and out of trouble. My goal is to develop a wealth building system for them, so that when they are of age, they understand the power of money and how to use it, and not have to “get it out the mud”. I am a firm believer that Real Estate is the quickest (and easiest) wealth building tool there is. With that, I am on a mission to learn all things Real Estate so that I can share the knowledge with those around me, and they can in turn do the same for their families.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although I have overcome many obstacles and challenges, I don’t like giving energy there. The obstacles I’ve faced have only prepared and catapulted me into my destiny, and for that, I can only give thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for sustaining me during those times. I look at challenges as a sign that more is coming. Because of that ideology, I welcome obstacles and difficulties and am excited for the growth that comes from them, which is only preparation for the next level!
