Welcome to Twinkle Skin Aesthetics where all the glowy magic happens at Twinkletown. We are conveniently located in DeKalb County. I am A’Star the visionary and creator of Twinkle Skin Aesthetics. I am born and raised in Decatur, Ga. It has always been my dream to own a thriving business in my hometown and help serve my community. As a person of color, we weren’t always taught the best way to treat our skin. So, I started this personal journey and mission to help people with the skin like mine and ALL SKIN achieve their best glow with proper education and knowledge.

Twinkle Skin Aesthetics is about educating clients on their specific skin type and how to help achieve optimal skin health. Every treatment is customized and tailored to each individual client.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth road? Not at all. From starting esthetics school at the age of 30 with a son and a finance. It was just a. Different path for me. A non traditional. Starting over in a career path and building a cilentele from the ground up has not been easy. Being a service provider is not for the weak.

I am a corrective skin care therapist
I specialize in skin care, mainly correcting and fading, hyper pigmentation, clearing, fading, acne, and preventative and maintenance skin care. I am known for using Korean skin care in my treatment room and providing lots of education. I want everyone to know that skin care is healthcare and regular routine facial maintenance is a part of good skin health even if you love the skin youre in having an effective skin care routine is very important for your specific skin type. Not following trends and TikTok, but seeing a professional aesthetician that you trust is the best way to healthy skin. Skin care is not one size fit. All you want to approach that is customized to you your skin type & your skin conditions. Nobody has skin like you always take the personal approach with an aesthetician when you are talking skin health. The dermatologist is great when needed but for your everyday skin health that includes maintenance, advanced treatments and your skin care routine always seeing an aesthetician and she will let you know if a dermatologist is needed. A lot of people use a dermatologist for acne and get on skin medication will really have an effective skin care routine is best for most people. A doctor and medication is not always necessary for optimal skin health.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t know if luck has anything to do with it, but I do know being my authentic self has and will always attract the right clientele and people to help your business thrive. I also believe in surrounding yourself with a good network of people that even includes a mentor is necessary in the beauty industry. But I just think once hard work preparation and opportunity meet success comes just be prepared. Always invest in your business and in continue education. if you’re not willing to invest in your business, why should clients?
