Today we’d like to introduce you to Audray Luck.
Hi Audray, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a love for old things especially clothing. It adds so much dimension to my outfits. It wasn’t until three or four years ago that I decided to resell a pile of vintage clothes that I had. I’ve gone through two rebrands since then and opened up my store on a whim. I just kinda went with the flow and did what felt best for me at the time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh, it’s never a smooth road haha. My biggest struggle was learning how to operate a legitimate business and a brick-and-mortar. It’s lots more than one would think. I’ve had to hire a bookkeeper and a CPA to help me with this as my brain just does not work that way. Luckily they are great teachers!
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Luck’s Place?
Luck’s Place was built on a dream. I like to call it an antique boutique. Full of vintage and antique clothing and textiles. There is something for everyone! This has been a small seedling that has bloomed into something so special to me and I am so grateful to be able to share it with others.
My business mentality may be very different from others, I go with the flow. I just let the wind take me and see how it goes. Right now I’m working on opening up Luck’s Place as a consignment vintage clothing store. Meaning other resellers sell their amazing finds out of the space! It just dawned on me one day. I’ve always been about community and helping others so this idea just makes sense to me! I have hopes that doing this will really bring the community together and we will be able to offer people a much wider variety of vintage clothing!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
No plans, just set a path and allow that path to change.
