Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon.
Brandon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Tres Jardines Taqueria in Atlanta in 2021 with my mom, my brother, and my two sisters. I grew up working in food trucks and restaurants, gaining kitchen, serving, and management experience that shaped how I run my business today.
When we launched, I put in a lot of research, built relationships in the industry, and grew my network while always working to improve our product and service. Over time, we’ve grown our clientele through vending, catering, and events all over Georgia, and we’re steadily making ourselves known throughout the metro Atlanta area and surrounding cities for our authentic Mexican street food and strong family teamwork.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. I’ve dealt with engines going out, tires blowing, and unexpected breakdowns, plus cancellations, inflation, strict regulations, and constant equipment upgrades. I’ve even been stiffed and scammed by mechanics and tow trucks, all while transitioning from employee life to business owner life.
Even the little things, like internet service or taking payments in remote areas, turned into big challenges. On top of that, manage demand during peak season, and find ways to stay productive during slower months like winter. The road hasn’t been easy, but every setback has taught me something and pushed me to adapt, improve, and keep Tres Jardines growing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I own Tres Jardines Taqueria, a family-run food truck based in Atlanta. We serve the metro Atlanta area and surrounding cities, specializing in authentic Mexican street style tacos and catering for weddings, festivals, and private events.
What sets us apart is the consistency and passion we put into every event. For me, it’s not just about serving food it’s about creating an experience and bringing people together. We’ve done everything from vending at big festivals to catering intimate weddings, and no matter the occasion, I make sure we focus on fresh ingredients and great service.
Brand wise, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. I started small, and now we’re making ourselves known around Atlanta more and more with each event. It’s rewarding to see people connect with our food and the story behind it.
What I want readers to know is that Tres Jardines isn’t just a taco truck, it’s a full catering experience. We bring the kitchen to you, serve fresh on-site, and make sure your guests leave happy.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
For me finding mentors and building a network has been all about putting myself out there. When I first started, I didn’t have a big circle in the industry, so I made it a point to talk to people everywhere I went other food truck owners, restaurant owners, event organizers, even customers.
What’s worked well is being genuine and showing people I’m passionate about what I do. I ask questions, listen, and try to learn from their experiences. I’ve also done a lot of research on my own of who could potentially make a great mentor or network.
My advice would be don’t be afraid to reach out, even if you think someone is “out of your league.” Most people actually enjoy sharing what they know. Some of the best connections I’ve made have come from simply offering help or support without expecting anything in return.
