Community Highlights: Meet Briana Smith of Rude Fit Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Smith.

Hi Briana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Rude Fit Boutique was created in 2018 while working for another small business as an inventory specialist. When I first began working at this job in 2017, I was working in packing. I ended up moving my way up to an inventory specialist and during my time being there, I learned the back, front and middle ends of running a business. (So I thought) Going into 2019, I decided to invest in my own business; Rude Fit Boutique was then created on February 27 of 2019. During the remainder of my first year in business, I lost more than I gained but I learned a lot and I don’t regret it. I am currently in my second year of business and one thing I’ve learned the most is that consistency is key to success. I say that because I’ve had a hard time this second year and I try to remind myself to stay hopeful and post because no one will know who Rude Fit Boutique is unless I show them.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main struggle has been CONSISTENCY, mainly because I am a single mom of two running two small business. I try to put myself on a set schedule, but by the end of the day, that schedule gets thrown off and business is all over the place. I’ve gotten to the point of realization that if I can go to work for eight hours for someone else and not touch my phone, I know for a fact I can do it for myself. Moving forward, I know what I have to do in order for me to be for productive.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
