Today we’d like to introduce you to Caprice Thomas.
Hi Caprice, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story really begins with me as a little girl. I was always passionate about creating goals and achieving dreams that I would write down in my journal. I have always had big dreams of having a business or owning something and I remember in 2017 I had a moment where I really wanted to find my purpose in life and go after it. I was a stay-at-home mom at the time and I knew within myself that there was something amazing still waiting for me on the other side of the life I was currently living. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved being home with my children every day but my heart desired more. So in 2017, I set off on a journey to find out exactly what was waiting for me. I was able to marry my love for people, wellness and business and create a business that took off like a rocket to my surprise. I remember being so nervous on the day of my soft opening because I didn’t know anyone and I was terrified that I wouldn’t get the response that I was looking for. But to my surprise, there were women who were just as excited to support my business as I was to start my business. Fast-forward to 2022 and we have been in operation for five years! For three consecutive years, we have been voted as Georgia’s regional Best Of Georgia’s Winners. To accomplish something that was only a vision or a prayer to seeing it grow and become bigger than your wildest imagination is just amazing to me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Goodness, it hasn’t always been peaches and cream. I definitely felt a lot of growing pains these past two years. Especially during the pandemic. I think a lot of businesses was stretched and stressed to the max. Seeing an influx of clients to a sudden pause or slow down was very difficult for us. I was worried at one point that we wouldn’t survive it but it’s really a blessing that we were able to overcome those hurtles and find our way back.
As you know, we’re big fans of Honey Pot Wellness & Maternity Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Honey Pot is in its fifth year and we are so excited about where we are heading. Honey Pot is really known for is warm atmosphere and professional services. We specialize in body contouring and day spa services and this year we’re expanding our menu by adding Advance Esthetic. What sets us apart is that we’re a spa that really caters to women from conception, maternity to motherhood we have services that cater to every stage of a woman’s life. I am most proud that we have been able to reach beyond the city that we’re currently located in. We have been blessed to service clients all over Middle Georgia. I would love readers to know that Honey Pot is small business that is owned and operated by a woman who gets it, the hectic everyday life of being a busy mom and that’s why I work hard to provide the best services and give my clients an amazing experience while they are here. We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would be playing in muddy puddles in my church clothes with my cousins lol. Our parents was so mad at us for doing that but we didn’t care, we had the time of our lives.
