Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Dudley.
Hi Chelsea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My business found me by chance on the first snow of the year back in 2020. I was scrolling through Facebook and noticed a fellow military family was in need of a cleaner to help them extremely last minute, The wife was pregnant, and as many times as military families have to move in one lifetime makes the thought of cleaning all the more overwhelming. So I run out to buy some additional supplies, then drive in the most snow a girl from Georgia has ever seen. The family was precious and wound up spreading my name across the entire military base and surrounding towns in the DMV where we were all stationed at for the Air Force. As time went on, a trend began to show up with the more families I took care of. With every home that I stepped in (mild to severe needs), everyone said the same thing….”Please, Don’t judge me!” There was one client that stood out to me, she was the inspiration of the business name “Clean & Kind.” I could tell this Mama needed helping hand, she expressed that she had physical disabilities and was also on the Autism spectrum. That’s worth mentioning because she loved order, routine, and all the peace of mind that brings, but due to her physical limitations she felt as though it was unattainable. While I felt like I was just being the normal nice person that I was raised to be, she was floored at my compassion & kindness. It also helped that I cleaned really well too. I got to the point where I was having to turn business away, and then was blessed with two amazing employees who cared as much as I did. We rocked the DMV together up until my husband separated from the service and brought us back home to North GA. Thanks to social media and posting dramatic before/after photos, I had clients in Georgia asking how could they get a clean even before I moved back. So I hired someone near and dear to me, my mother. Cleaning is such an intimate job and I wanted someone that I could trust in anyone’s home and due to Covid, she was in need of a new employment opportunity. Since moving back, we have been catering to clients who live near Atlanta/Stone Mountain to Dawsonville, Commerce, and everywhere in between. I recently sold the Maryland/Washington DC branch to my first employee, who I wish all the success in the world. I plan to eventually only manage the Georgia branch and expand to property management, specifically short-term rentals or commercial properties.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say that it has been mostly smooth sailing. I think a big part of that is ring blessed with such quality employees and keeping the mission in the forefront of our brains. Clean & Kind Co LLC is here to help people gain control of their lives, free up time, and create a peaceful home for the employed person or stretched stay-at-home mom to come back to after a stressful week.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I pretty much live my life as an open book because I feel like God can use even the lowest parts of my life for good somehow, but there is something ironic to the Clean & Kind story. I have a degree in Marketing but have done little to no advertising apart from posting my favorite photos on my personal social media @chelseaadudleyy.
