Hey, I’m Victoria a Faux Loc’s Specialist based in San Antonio, TX. I’ve been in the hair industry for five years, but my journey started back in high school doing hair was my way of making friends and expressing creativity. Over time, I realized how powerful it was to help women feel confident and beautiful, and that’s when I knew this was my calling.
In 2020, I enrolled in cosmetology school while working as a braider. One day, I came across a viral TikTok showcasing faux locs, and something about it just clicked. I fell in love with the process, the transformation, and the confidence it gave my clients. From that moment on, I decided to specialize exclusively in faux locs and dedicate myself to mastering the craft.
Five years later, my passion is stronger than ever. I take pride in being a Faux Locs Specialist who not only creates beautiful styles but helps women feel empowered every time they leave my chair.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I found out I was pregnant just a month before starting cosmetology school, so I spent my entire pregnancy balancing early mornings, morning sickness, and long hours standing on my feet doing hair. It was a lot to handle, but I pushed through with determination. And believe it or not, I gave birth to my son, Malakai, on the very same day I graduated from cosmetology school talk about perfect timing!
Along the way, I’ve faced my share of challenges self-doubt, people questioning how I’d manage motherhood and my career, and even having to let go of close friends who didn’t take my business seriously or always expected free styles. I also made a big move to Houston, one of the most competitive cities for hairstylists, and had to rebuild my clientele from scratch. At times, I almost lost hope when the bookings weren’t coming in.
I’ve even dealt with clients walking out without paying, threats, and negative posts made about my business online. But through every obstacle, I’ve stayed grounded, learned valuable lessons, and kept going because my passion for what I do is stronger than anything I’ve faced.

My business is all about creating confidence through beauty. I specialize in Faux Loc’s it’s not just a hairstyle to me, it’s an art form. I fell in love with the process, the transformation, and how empowered my clients feel after their appointment.
What sets me apart is that I’ve dedicated myself to mastering one thing and being the best at it. Every set of locs I do is customized to fit each client’s personality and vibe.
I’m proud of how far my brand has come from doing hair in high school restrooms to being known as a trusted Faux Loc’s Specialist. When you sit in my chair, it’s more than just getting your hair done it’s an experience meant to make you feel confident and renewed.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories takes me back to when I lived in this apartment complex where everybody knew everybody. We were all like one big family nobody had much, but we had each other, and that made our little world feel full.
One night, while my mom and I were sound asleep, my brother and his friends decided they were going to be comedians. They found this fake frog and thought it’d be hilarious to prank us. So, they quietly crept into the room and placed it near my mom. The next thing you know, she woke up, saw that frog, and screamed like she’d seen a ghost! She took off running outside in her nightgown, and everyone my brother, his friends, even the neighbors were crying laughing.
Once she realized it was fake, my mom started laughing too, and the whole complex was just full of laughter that night. It’s one of my favorite memories because it reminds me of how good life felt back then no phones, no distractions, just pure joy, family, and moments that still make me smile to this day.
