Community Highlights: Meet Christina Davis of C.U.T.E. Ink

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Davis.

Hi Christina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Interesting story about how my business came to life. Let me start off by saying, I had no plans of becoming an entrepreneur. I’ve always wanted to be a flight attendant since I graduated from high school. Today, I am a flight attendant with the world’s best airline and an entrepreneur! I absolutely love my job, the interaction I have with my fellow co-workers, and the passengers. I can honestly say that I am very happy with my career.
On Friday, February 16, 2018, at 3 am, I was awakened with the acronym C.U.T.E. repeating itself in my mind. I am very familiar with the word cute because it’s a word I use all the time to compliment family, friends, and random strangers. I also use it as a descriptor of items I like, particularly clothing and shoes. “Cute” is my go-to word for all things cute. Yet, I felt it had to be more to it than just the word cute. So, I asked God what did it mean, and he specifically said, “Committed Until The End”. Wow!! What a revelation.
For a while (2 years), I toiled with the acronym because I wasn’t sure what God wanted me to do with this. I thought it was specifically about being committed until the end to my husband and our marriage. I was like ok God, I get that. But I knew in my heart there had to be more to it.
Fast forward to 2020, I asked God for another stream of income because we were at the height of a deadly pandemic, people were losing their jobs and I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep mine or not. He said to me, “Christina, I gave it to you back in 2018.” He said, “You made it all about marriage, however, there’s so much more you can be committed to.” He then began to run down the list.
Once I received clarity of what C.U.T.E. meant and how being committed is not just for married people, I began to move forward with making the vision God gave me a reality. On September 14, 2020, I took the necessary steps to launch C.U.T.E. Ink LLC and became the first female entrepreneur in my immediate family.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Becoming an entrepreneur is easy. Being an entrepreneur is NOT! It takes a lot of hard work, early days/long nights, research, research, research, time management, and dedication. You must be committed to the process!
I rely heavily on resources such as the Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE of North Metro Atlanta, Hello Alice, and various business coaches to enhance my knowledge about entrepreneurship and how to develop and manage a successful business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
C.U.T.E. Ink is more than a brand, it’s a lifestyle of being committed. We love to hear and share stories of those who have made commitments to God, their faith, their families, careers, education, their health, and more.
We specialize in inspiring, motivating, reminding, and encouraging our supporters and followers through our apparel that whatever they’re committed to, Be C.U.T.E. Committed Until The End.
What sets us apart from others is we are telling our stories along with the stories of others that people can relate to and connect with. Oftentimes, people want something to believe in and know they aren’t by themselves.
Our brand advocates a lifestyle of staying the course, regardless of how hard it gets, we are standing strong on our commitment and not giving up.
What I am most proud of brand-wise is the message of being committed until the end. It’s so easy to give up, dust your feet off and move on. We see it all the time. However, it is most rewarding when you have completed something, e.g., college, basic training, graduate school, making your dream a reality because you stayed the course and were committed.
Currently, we offer C.U.T.E apparel, tee shirts, hoodies, and baseball caps. We are also working on doing live interviews and videos with C.U.T.E. people in the near future.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
When I think of risk, I think about the possibility of losing something. I started C.U.T.E. Ink in the midst of a global pandemic, where people were losing their lives to Covid-19, they were losing their jobs, losing in a sense their daily lives/activities, as things closed down. Loss was all around us. And because of my faith, I know that even in the darkest hours, God’s light still shines. I was 100% sure that this business came from God. And in that moment, it wasn’t so much about me selling my products. It was bigger than that. It was getting people to stop and really think about what they were committed to in life, what really matters. And the risk of me not venturing into this ‘called journey’ was a risk I was unwilling to take. God is Committed to us Until The End and for those who believe…into the new beginning.
