Community Highlights: Meet Collin Bowman of The Bowman Team – REALTORS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Collin Bowman.

Hi Collin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The Bowman Team started as a family business in 2019 with a simple belief: real estate should feel personal, honest, and rooted in trust. In the beginning, it was all about helping friends, family, and local neighbors navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Those early experiences, and the relationships that came from them, laid the foundation for everything that followed. Leslie is also an Air-Force Veteran and RN. Collin has a background in sales in marketing. Whitney has a background in administration

As word spread and referrals grew, the business naturally expanded. What began as a small operation turned into a true team — built intentionally, one person and one system at a time. Over the years, the Bowman Team reached important milestones, from steadily increasing transaction volume to becoming one of the top-producing teams in the area. Each stage of growth came with a focus on doing things better, not just bigger.

The team also recognized early that the way people buy and sell homes was changing. Instead of resisting that shift, they leaned into it — investing in online marketing, technology, and smarter systems to better serve clients. Those decisions helped the team stay visible, organized, and responsive, while still preserving the hands-on experience that clients valued from the start.

Today, the Bowman Team has helped hundreds of buyers and sellers across Paulding County and beyond. Even as the business has grown, it’s remained grounded in family values, strong communication, and genuine care for the people behind each transaction. The journey hasn’t been about chasing growth for its own sake, but about building something lasting — for clients, for the community, and for the people who make up the team.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most growing businesses, especially in real estate, the Bowman Team faced its share of challenges early on. Building a reputation from the ground up took time, patience, and consistency — especially in a market where trust has to be earned one client at a time.

Growth itself became one of the biggest challenges. Transitioning from a small, family-run operation into a structured team meant learning how to hire, train, and build systems while still actively serving clients. There were moments where the team had to slow down, reassess, and rebuild processes to avoid growing faster than the foundation could support.

Market shifts also played a major role. Navigating changing interest rates, inventory shortages, and unpredictable market cycles required constant adaptation (especially since we got started right before covid hit). At the same time, the industry was rapidly becoming more digital, forcing the team to invest in technology, marketing, and new ways of operating — often through trial and error.

Perhaps the biggest challenge was balancing growth with the values that started it all. Scaling without losing the personal, hands-on experience clients expected wasn’t always easy, but those challenges ultimately shaped the team into what it is today. Each obstacle forced better decisions, stronger systems, and a clearer focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term wins.
The

As you know, we’re big fans of The Bowman Team – REALTORS. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Bowman Team is a full-service real estate group based in Paulding County and the greater Atlanta area, dedicated to helping people buy, sell, and invest in residential real estate with confidence and care. Led by Broker Associate Collin Bowman alongside licensed REALTORS Leslie Bowman (mom) and Whitney Bowman Helton (sister), the team blends deep local market knowledge with a commitment to personalized service and transparent communication.

What sets The Bowman Team apart is multi-faceted. One of the big drivers that makes people want to use us to sell their home is the fact that we sell our listings faster, with more views, and for more money than the average agent does for similar properties. On the flip side of that, our buyers tend to get homes at lower prices than others sell for in the same area. We get the pleasure of being friendly to our clients, but still have the ability to be aggressive to the other agents so we make sure our clients get the best service possible. The other is their focus on building long-term relationships and making the real estate process as smooth and rewarding as possible for every client. Whether it’s guiding first-time homebuyers through their first purchase, helping growing families find the perfect fit, or positioning homes strategically in competitive markets, they bring energy, expertise, and a steady hand to every transaction. Their clients frequently highlight the team’s responsiveness, market insight, and ability to explain every step of the process clearly.

As a family-oriented brand rooted in community, The Bowman Team prides itself on being more than salespeople — they are trusted local advisors who understand that real estate decisions are deeply personal and often life-changing. They serve a broad range of communities across Paulding, Cobb, Douglas, and surrounding counties, helping hundreds of buyers and sellers achieve their goals with professionalism, integrity, and genuine care.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding the right mentor isn’t always about a formal relationship — it’s often about paying attention to the people around you who are already doing things the right way. For us, the most valuable mentors were those who were willing to share real experiences, including their mistakes, not just their successes.

Networking has worked best when it’s been relationship-first, not transactional. Showing up consistently, asking good questions, and being willing to listen goes a long way. Some of the strongest connections came from local industry events, community involvement, and simply staying in touch with people whose work and values we respected.

One important lesson we’ve learned is that mentorship can come from multiple places at different stages — operations, marketing, leadership, or even personal balance. Being open to learning from peers, not just people “ahead” of you, has been just as impactful. Ultimately, the key is to stay curious, humble, and willing to invest in relationships before you ever need something in return.
