Hi Conswella, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey began when I received my Master Cosmetology Degree at the age of 20. I loved the art of being a stylist, but things shifted when I fell in love with formulating skincare products using natural ingredients. My family has a history of recurring skin sensitivities and conditions. Nothing over the store counters or shelves worked for us. That’s when I decided to use my studies of the derma to take things to another level with developing natural skincare products. While studying, I discovered the harsh chemicals involving shelf life with containing herbicides, pesticides, and other harmful chemicals that were very damaging to the skin. So, I dug deeper by going back to our family roots and discovering ingredients that healed our skin naturally.
As time went by, I continued my passion for skincare. Our world was then hit with Covid when I experienced several health challenges mentally in addition to a near death experience. While overcoming these challenges and obstacles, God was preparing me to share my testimonies that birthed me into a Skincare Wellness Life Coach.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always bumps in the road. The reward is outweighing the odds and overcoming the challenges along the way. Starting your own business is never easy. It’s also never easy doing it alone. It’s even harder when you have the mentality based off past life experiences, allowing you to feel as if no one will provide help. My struggles initially were funding, marketing, and just simply getting my product in the right hands. I wanted to help my community and show them that anything is possible when it comes to achieving your goals and dreams. In doing that, It required me to step out of my comfort zone in getting help and resources.
