Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal White.
Hi Crystal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was always a browaholic over my own eyebrows which led me to start doing eyebrows in 2020. Unfortunately during that time, I was working full time and in graduate school, so I was unable to develop my craft like I wanted to. One year later, my family moved to Charlotte, NC from Atlanta, GA for a fresh start and change. I became a stay at mom and used that time to focus on myself. I took a course and became a certified Permanent Makeup Artist. I studied Microshading and practiced on my craft every day until receiving my very first client. I have never looked back since the day I got my suite and took my first few clients. I never felt so fulfilled until I started doing eyebrows. I get to help women not only through their eyebrows but in their everyday life. I also felt accomplished as I was able to start a new business and gain clientele in a new city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It started off smooth, but I did face some obstacles like learning about “slow season”, knowing how to say “no” as a beauty professional, and just setting boundaries in my business. You can read many books about entrepreneurship, but it will never fully prepare you. As an entrepreneur, you have to face the obstacles and learn from them. Every obstacle I have faced in my business, I learned from it to help me become better.
We’ve been impressed with Lush Brows by Cris, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

The thing I am most proud about brand-wise is my growth. I started this business in an unknown city not knowing anyone, and now I have serviced over 200 women, and still growing.
One thing about Lush Brows is that as the brow artist, I do care about my client’s eyebrows. I have been through the eyebrow horrors of going to the nail shop or trying someone new. That is why I educate my clients on eyebrow growth and how they can reach their brow goals or maintain their brows. More importantly, I listen to my clients.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years, I see myself hosting more training classes and opening up my very own Brow Lounge.
