Community Highlights: Meet Destini Bennett of Royal Tendencies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destini Bennett.

Hi Destini, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am 22 years old. I have a wonderful husband, Micheal Haynes, and a beautiful nine months old daughter, Malaya. With being a new mom, a newlywed and having a business times has definitely been hard and depressing. However, it has been worth totally worth it. I started my business Royal Tendencies back in 2019. When I first started, I wanted to sell customized clothes, lip gloss, and Accessories. I tried that a few times but I learned that was not my purpose. I learned my purpose is to help women learn themselves and love each thing about themselves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an up and down roller coaster honestly. Trying to find balance in the beginning was extremely hard. Being a mother and wife alone is hard. So adding a business on top of that was extremely hard. I’m just now within the past few months getting a good balance.

As you know, we’re big fans of Royal Tendencies. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Royal Tendencies is building women to be a better version of themselves. We crack the urgent problem of women facing adversity. Helping women overcome depression, self-love, self-esteem and self-awareness problems. What sets us apart from others is I have experienced everything personally. The way I help others is ways I have learned over years of dealing with it. I will be doing a launch mid-May with my personalized journals and planners.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is getting in the garden with my great-grandmother and having long talks about being a woman.
