Community Highlights: Meet Dj Bad Gyrl of 22.3 TakeOver Vegas Radio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dj Bad Gyrl.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is DJ BAD GYRL. I have been in the radio industry for almost 10 years. My ultimate goal in this industry was to provide a platform for people to have a voice on the last frontier, radio media. Through all my trials and tribulations in a forever-evolving industry, I managed to start my own internet radio station 22.3 TakeOver Vegas Radio back in 2017. Fast forward May 2021 that was great for us, we became Guinness Record Holders, we received our day in Las Vegas (22.3 TakeOver Vegas Radio Day) lastly, 22.3 TakeOver Miami Radio was created and we stream the hottest Reggaeton, Salsa, and Bachata music worldwide. Moving into 2022, our team in California and myself created 22.3 TakeOver Hollywood Radio streaming the hottest pop music of the 80s, 90s, and todays!

Sky is the limit for the TakeOver Brand!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth it has not been. Every business has challenges but nothing that could knock us out of the race. We don’t meet many struggles because I like to foresee any issues and I like to plan ahead six months in advance. The greatest thing about business is the unknown and be able to adapt. A true entrepreneur can handle the good and bad.

22.3 TakeOver Vegas Radio is the brother beast to our sister stations 22.3 TakeOver Miami Radio & NOW 22.3 TakeOver Hollywood Radio. 22.3 TakeOver Vegas Radio has been in business now five years and still going strong. We have over 20+ shows and radio personalities worldwide. We are known as “The Station that has more fun”!

We set us up from other stations? Well, I don’t know what anyone else is doing but I do know we are doing phenomenal things in Las Vegas. You gotta check the resume there’s to many things to mention but Vegas loves us! I am proud I was able to create with my team a worldwide brand and we can be heard in 199 Countries! It has been great to connect with fans from Nigeria, UK, and other parts of the world. It is amazing how music can bring a world of people together. I am also so proud of us we were nominated 2x Best of Las Vegas and that’s such a high honor because no other internet radio station has been nominated last year or this year.
