Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Miriam Graham.
Hi Dr. Miriam, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey in the music industry in the early 1990s, working with youth on a television show called Friends International. That experience sparked my passion for creating platforms for emerging talent, which led me to develop my own show, Talent Conspiracy long before shows like American Idol existed. The show spotlighted local artists through live showcases and interviews and became a launchpad for the next phase of my career.
From there, I transitioned into artist management and record label work, including securing a distribution deal with Solar Records for my second artist. Over the years, my role evolved, and today I am an award-winning publicist representing artists such as Julie McKnight, Tamil Robinson, and Carolyn Griffey, as well as the Heal the Hood Foundation of Memphis. I also manage celebrity Chef Jerome Brown and the 3V3 Collective. These opportunities have ultimately led to strategic partnerships with Joe Mason of Never Stop Entertainment (radio promotions), QWAD Entertainment, and promoters assistant—allowing me to continue building, elevating, and amplifying powerful voices across music, entertainment, and community impact.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any journey, there have been a few bumps along the way (lol). One of the biggest challenges has been connecting with the right people and building genuine relationships with like-minded individuals who share the same vision and values. Not every door opens when you expect it to, and not every opportunity is meant to last.
Through it all, my faith has grounded me. I’m a believer in Christ, and I truly trust that whatever situations and opportunities are meant for me will happen in His timing. That belief has helped me stay focused, patient, and resilient, even during moments of uncertainty. Every challenge has ultimately prepared me for where I am today.
As you know, we’re big fans of Nubian Queen Management. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is rooted in providing visibility, and purpose for my clients. I specialize in public relations, brand development, and strategic positioning for artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations. I’m known for helping my clients not only gain exposure, but also build credibility, longevity, and meaningful connections within their industries and communities.
What truly sets me apart is that I take a hands-on, relationship-driven approach. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all publicity. Every client has a unique story, and my job is to amplify that story in a way that feels authentic, impactful, and aligned with who they are and my mission. I work closely with my clients often becoming family, to ensure their message is clear, consistent, and positioned for growth.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the diverse portfolio I’ve built across music, entertainment, culinary arts, and nonprofit advocacy. Representing award-winning artists, respected community organizations like Heal the Hood Foundation of Memphis, and managing talent such as celebrity Chef Jerome Brown and the 3V3 Collective, Carolyn Griffey (whose the daughter of Solar Records Dick Griffe), Tamil Robinson, Fashion Designer, and Julie McKnight singer/author, reflects the heart of my brand: purpose with excellence.
I want readers to know that my brand is about more than publicity, it’s about impact. Whether I’m securing media placements, managing talent, building partnerships, or shaping narratives, everything I do is centered on integrity, faith, and results. My goal is to help my clients be seen, heard, and remembered for the right reasons while creating opportunities that lead to lasting success.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Well, I have four degrees. One is truly special because it recognizes all the years of work not only in business but in the community. I received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism. Something that might surprise people is that behind the public-facing work, I’m very intentional about moving quietly and listening closely. While my brand is built around visibility and amplification, I’m naturally observant and strategic—I don’t rush opportunities or chase trends. I believe in timing, discernment, and purpose over hype.
Another surprise is how much faith influences my decision-making. I don’t separate business from belief. I pray over clients, with clients, partnerships, and projects, trusting that alignment matters just as much as success. That balance of strategy and faith is something people may not always see, but it’s at the core of how I operate and why my work has longevity. In closing I would like to encourage ALL entrepreneurs do not limit yourself to one thing. Recording artists learning how promotions work, engineering, voice overs, movie scores, and acting.
