Community Highlights: Meet Ebony Cue of Cue The Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Cue.

Hi Ebony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey in beauty and healing started in my younger years as a teenager. I was a happy girl that was very family-oriented. I was outgoing and I enjoyed being around people. I participated in padgetts, local events, religious events, extracurricular activities such as track, cheerleading, FBLA, and ROTC. I’ve always enjoyed being a “light” and I would use that as a gift to brighten up anyone’s day. Acne was common amongst young adults, and I had people that were close to me have issues with it. I watched how it played a huge part into their self-confidence and insecurities so I read frequent beauty magazines and other holistic health books that were owned by my grandparents to enlighten myself on what to offer as a way of helping. It took me a few years to understand what I wanted to do in life so I had to do some soul searching and refer back to my love…which was healing. Having my son was all the motivation that I I needed to make that actual physical change of getting into the beauty world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Perseverance is one of the only words that I can use to perfectly describe my esthetics journey in a nutshell. In a field of beauty, I was approached with such difficult and ugly challenges that involved a lot of sacrifices and hard work. My passion for healing runs deep because of my love for people, and with that I felt obligated to push through the long days, no sleep, and re-do’s. I meditated and prayed daily to keep a leveled head to overcome those hard days in school. I relied on my support circle in which they played a tremendous part on helping with my son while I was currently balancing my way through work, school and being a parent. This wasn’t easy AT ALL, but I am glad that I was able to allow this to build character and tenacity that I can now incorporate as a businesswoman.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Cue the Esthetics is an LLC that I started a few months after graduating from esthetics school and becoming licensed. I offer a variety of beauty services such as makeup and brow enhancement, intimate hair removal and waxing, and skin care treatments that combat acne, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea. I make it a priority to focus on healing and treating the issue, so I develop treatment plans for my clients that they can commit to for optimal results. I aim to create an open and comfortable space for everyone, so I tend to offer services that others may not offer. Right now, I am currently trending with my men’s facial and beard treatments since I know that most men are not aware of the pros on how vital it is to take care of their skin.

I am also currently working on a PCOS facial treatment for all of my clients that struggle with its physical effects. I was able to do a great amount of research on the condition so I created a regime that will help tremendously. I tend to create relationships with my clients as a way of building trust. I cater to my clients by building rapport to know how to communicate with them. I share knowledge and expertise and do consistent follow-ups. I take the extra step to get to know them individually. I speak light in them and encourage them to focus on self-care as a form of “mental treatment” as well as physical. I create an overall experience for my clients and show them appreciation by providing rewards and acknowledging their milestones. I take pride in the fact that my brand is not only known for my physical work, but also for the positive experience and impression that I tend to leave with my clientele.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I am open to all opportunities that act as an act of service. I work well with people that have the same passion and goals as I have. I offer beauty services to all individuals or large parties for events such as weddings, pageants. or photoshoots. I participate in charity events and I take part into sponsorships as well. I am currently working with a friend to provide facials for an event to raise money for his niece who has epilepsy. I also sponsored a teen for prom to offer makeup services. People tend to reach out through social media, book on my actual site (cuetheesthetics.com) or contact me via phone or email.
