Hi Elijah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am Originally From Cincinnati i grew up in Avondale a strong community but a rougher area of the City I grew up with street knowledge,early on my Mother smartly realized her children may have more opportunities moving to Atlanta. I feel my brain developed differently in a good way as i now felt very multicultural and multifaceted. In a world where i was given less opportunities I felt these were my advantages and i began to use them well. My original Husting attributes turned into business attributes and I began my Entrepreneurial Lifestyle Journey My First business Was in Medical Healthcare which I enjoyed very much and even though it did not go how i would have imagined I learned a lot from that experience moving on i still had a passion of using any of my skills to help others I began a life coaching business and thrived doing it, my journey now and for the past 3 and a half years has Been Garden of Elixir my Natural foods brand!! This is my true passion The one that everything has lead me to and I’m sure i will start other business but my current focus and Longevity rest with This Natural foods brand. I started the company around the time Covid was very rampant, & it reminded me of the immense amount of knowledge I have on maintaining Protecting and boosting the immunity system in a natural way. I believe and it has been proven a natural healthy Non GMO diet reduces the risk of almost every disease and eating unhealthy foods is what leads our bodies to disease. I began Formulating Several naturally Potent Daily immunity support Shots, Simple ingredients in Small batch that go straight to the source of our immune systems. I also wanted to provide a truly healthy natural solid food product, this idea lead to our locally Famous Elderberry Granola balls. I feel this move made us an actual brand reaching a more wide variety of people. During this wonderful time I met my Wife a truly inspiring influentual part of the Orginization. I began taking product samples to local Natural foods stores who truly embody natural health foods brands. Garden of Elixir is a earth continuous Natural foods brand and i knew i wanted to give back to the people even before the business began to make a profit I started a program giving back 5% of all proceeds toward our Water Pledge! We purchase small water filtration systems and ship them to 3rd world countries, water is an important part of human survival and we aim to help curve those struggles in those areas. This is my vision and this is our Garden of Elixir Natural foods brand!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Ofcourse not there are always struggles with any business built from the ground up we are an independent brand so we did not have financial backing and we still operate completely independent which is a challenge in itself but a good one. Another struggle was figuring out a way to give back and still be able to make a profit operating, we eventually figured that out with our water pledge. Going forward I would partner with a Bigger company as long as the vision and natural foods product stays the same!
