Community Highlights: Meet Eliza Imran of She Runs ATL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliza Imran.

Hi Eliza, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
She Runs ATL started the moment I realized women in Atlanta were craving more than what traditional networking spaces offered. As I moved through the city’s business and networking scene, I felt the absence of a genuine space where ambitious, business-minded women could connect in a meaningful way. I wanted community that felt intentional, supportive, and rooted in real growth; not surface-level networking.

I work as a realtor and in the insurance industry, which places me consistently in male-dominated professional environments. Being in those rooms made the need for a women-led community even more clear, one where women could feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow together.

One day, I decided to say it out loud. I posted a TikTok asking if other women were feeling the same way and if they’d be interested in meeting up. I didn’t expect much, but the response was overwhelming. My phone quickly filled with messages from entrepreneurs, creatives, and business-minded women who were ready to turn online connection into real-life community.

I turned that moment into action. What started as a simple question quickly became intentional in-person experiences. Today, She Runs ATL is one of the fastest-growing women’s communities in Atlanta, known for sold-out events, consistent 100+ attendance, and a deeply engaged network. What began as an idea has evolved into a powerful offline community built on confidence, collaboration, and collective growth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building something from scratch especially a community comes with a lot of unseen challenges. In the beginning, I was balancing She Runs ATL alongside my career while learning how to scale without losing the authenticity that made the community special.

There were moments of self-doubt, financial risk, and uncertainty, especially when turning an online response into real-life events. You’re constantly asking yourself if people will actually show up, if the vision will translate, and if you’re doing it the “right” way. Creating something meaningful comes with responsibility, and I’ve learned that intention matters just as much as growth.

Every event is designed with purpose. I want women to leave feeling inspired, whether that’s with a new sense of ambition, a genuine connection, a friendship, or a fresh idea. Those challenges taught me to trust my instincts, build with care, and focus on impact over perfection, ultimately shaping She Runs ATL into a stronger, more sustainable community.

As you know, we’re big fans of She Runs ATL. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
She Runs ATL is the fastest growing women-focused community built for ambitious, business-minded women in Atlanta who are seeking real connection and growth. The brand is known for hosting intentional, curated events and workshops that bring women together in meaningful ways creating space for collaboration, conversation, and inspiration beyond traditional networking.
At the core of She Runs ATL is a strong emphasis on intention and experience. Each gathering is thoughtfully designed to go beyond transactional meetups, ensuring women leave with something tangible, whether that’s a new connection, a fresh perspective, confidence, or clarity. One of the things I’m most proud of is how organically the community has grown while staying authentic, with sold-out events and a highly engaged network that continues to expand. As the community evolves, there are plans to explore more intimate, growth-driven experiences designed to support women at deeper stages of their personal and professional journeys.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t see risk as something reckless; I see it as calculated and intentional. Starting She Runs ATL was a risk in itself, putting an idea out publicly without knowing how it would be received and then committing to turning that response into real-life experiences. When I first posted about the idea on TikTok, the response was immediate; women were asking when the first event would be, which pushed me to move quickly and bring it to life without certainty.

There was financial risk, time risk, and the possibility of failure, but I believed in the need for the community enough to move forward anyway. I’m also a firm believer that when God places an idea in your heart, something you feel deeply passionate about, it’s never without purpose. That belief guides how I approach risk thoughtfully and intentionally, with faith that growth comes from taking action even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
