Community Highlights: Meet Elizabeth Rudd of Well Equipt Physical Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Rudd

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I opened Well Equipt in 2018 as a side business while I was working another full time job as a physical therapist. I asked an owner of a gym if I could set up a table in his gym and provide physical therapy services to the members of the gym. He agreed, and for the first year of business, I treated as many gym members as I could until I built up enough of a caseload to commit to Well Equipt full-time. I added my first staff therapist in 2020 right before I went out on maternity leave and we’ve been working together ever since. In 2022, we built out a bigger clinic and added another staff therapist and a full time administrative assistant (who also teaches yoga for us)! Now, our team of 4 has been integral in providing physical therapy and wellness services to help our community live pain free active lives!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Entrepreneurship is never a smooth road!! Not to mention, growing a business and growing a family is no joke!

The unknowns of Covid, the struggles of 2 pregnancies and postpartum eras that require extra attention on the home front, and shifting roles from a solo practitioner to a company leader have been challenging. However, without struggles, there would be no triumph. I’ve grown so much as a person, leader, practitioner, mom, and friend!

As you know, we’re big fans of Well Equipt Physical Therapy . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Well Equipt is a local orthopedic physical therapy practice. Our mission is to be the community’s healthcare resource for achieving wellness and living a pain free, active life. We primarily work with active adults striving to improve their fitness goals and prevent aches and pains from holding them back. We help each individual by diagnosing and helping them understand their pain, creating + implementing a plan to fix it, and preventing pain from returning.

We are an out of network practice, which allows us to treat our patients with personalized, one-on-one care. We create customized treatment plans to help each patient reach goals they never thought possible. In addition to physical therapy, we offer comprehensive services including performance and prevention, yoga, and exercise + fitness programs.

We aim to elevate healthcare standards by providing superior outcomes and maintaining direct relationships with our community to help them navigate the healthcare, fitness, and wellness systems!
