Community Highlights: Meet Gracie & Angelo Felix of Felix Wedding Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gracie & Angelo Felix.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Angelo has had a passion for photography since he received his first camera at age 16. As he got older, that interest expanded into videography, which eventually led him to wedding videography. He began filming weddings as a side project during college and, after graduation, decided to turn it into an official business.

Around that same time, Gracie and Angelo reconnected, started dating, and later got married. When Gracie officially joined the Felix Wedding Films team, she stepped into the full-time role of managing client communication, social media management, and the logistical side of the business. Angelo focused on the creative direction, including editing, marketing, and equipment management. They both actively film weddings. This balance has allowed the business to grow with both structure and creativity at the forefront.

Now in 2026, Felix Wedding Films has been in the industry for seven years. We have a team of five talented filmmakers, including ourselves. We intentionally limit the number of weddings we take each year, as well as how many we book per month, to ensure our couples receive the best possible experience.

Much of our growth has come from consistently investing in education, refining our filmmaking skills, expanding our gear collection, and building meaningful relationships within the wedding industry. A significant part of that growth is thanks to our business coach, Sam Jacobson with Ideaction Consulting. He and his team have been an incredible source of guidance and support throughout our journey.

We are so grateful for how far we have come over the past seven years and are excited for the continued growth ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not always been a smooth one, but it has truly been a labor of love. Early on in the business, we went through a season of growth as we learned how to work together as a husband and wife team. We had to figure out how to divide responsibilities based on each of our strengths while also maintaining a healthy work and life balance.

We also experienced a short season of burnout early in our career because we never said no to an inquiry. If we had the date available, we took the wedding. When we did not intentionally limit the number of weddings we accepted, burnout slowly crept in, and we realized we needed to make a change. This was around 2021.

Once we sat down and intentionally decided how many weddings we would take the following year, everything shifted. We experienced significant growth, avoided burnout, and were pushed to raise our prices and drastically improve our clients’ experience.

Overall, we feel that these seasons shaped us both personally and professionally, and ultimately made us stronger as a couple and as a business.

We’ve been impressed with Felix Wedding Films, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a full-service wedding film company based in Atlanta, Georgia, serving couples throughout the Southeast and beyond. We specialize in documentary-style wedding films with a cinematic storytelling approach. That means we capture the majority of the day candidly and naturally, only stepping in with gentle guidance when it truly enhances the moment.

At our core, we are storytellers. We are known for creating films that feel deeply personal, emotional, and true to life. Our couples often tell us they want someone to capture the meaningful moments without interrupting them. That awareness shapes everything we do. We work closely with planners and photographers, mic our couples before intimate moments like the first look, and position ourselves in a way that allows them to feel fully present, almost as if we are not there.

One of our biggest priorities is the overall experience. We have a streamlined and customizable process designed to keep things simple and stress-free. We schedule routine check-ins leading up to the wedding, maintain prompt and clear communication, and lead with professionalism and empathy. From the first inquiry to the final delivery, our couples know we are in their corner. Many have said it feels like their friends are filming them rather than just another vendor.

Creatively, we invest deeply in each film. We spend 50 or more hours crafting every wedding story. Film is not just about beautiful visuals. It is about the audio we preserve, the music we carefully select, and the emotional pacing that brings everything together. We search for music that adds depth and texture, and we intentionally weave in vows, speeches, and ambient moments to create a sensory experience. Our editing style adapts to each couple. Some films feel energetic and celebratory, while others are romantic and intimate. Every story is shaped around the personalities and priorities of the couple.

We also take pride in our commitment to quality. We film in 4K, use professional audio equipment, and maintain a consistent, true-to-life color grade. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead of preset packages, we customize our offerings so couples invest in what truly matters to them.

Brand-wise, what we are most proud of is the level of trust and connection we build. We are a small, intentional team that prioritizes personality matching and the client experience. We care about the success of every vendor involved because that ultimately serves the couple best. When the entire team works well together, the wedding day feels seamless.

Above all, we want readers to understand that our films are not just content for social media. They are heirlooms. They are a way for couples, their families, and future generations to relive the emotions, hear the voices, and remember the people who were present. Creating meaningful connections through storytelling is at the heart of what we do. We preserve memories in a way that allows them to live on.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, we see the wedding film industry continuing to become more experience-driven and relationship-focused. Couples are increasingly valuing not just beautiful visuals, but also the overall experience of working with a team that communicates well, collaborates seamlessly with other vendors, and brings a calm, grounded presence to the wedding day. We believe emotional storytelling and high-quality audio will continue to play a major role, especially as couples prioritize authenticity over overly staged moments.

As for our place within the industry, we plan to continue serving our couples at a very high level while being intentional about growth. We anticipate reducing the number of weddings we film each year and increasing our pricing so that we can maintain excellence while also being very present with our daughter as she grows older. Sustainability and balance are important to us, both personally and professionally.

We also plan to continue strengthening our network relationships. We have built very strong connections within the wedding industry, and we believe collaboration will only become more important in the years ahead. By maintaining those relationships and continuing to invest in our craft and client experience, we are confident we can adapt well to whatever shifts come in the next decade.
