Today, we’d like to introduce you to Haley Hopkins.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Haley D. Hopkins. I’m originally from Seattle, Washington but raised in St. Louis, MO. I’ve been in the medical field since the year of 2003 when I graduated high school. I’ve always been a helper all my life I just had a passion for helping others didn’t matter the age, it just fulfilled my heart with joy seeing others happy.
So, I began working as a certified nurse assistant for many, many years. I then went back to school and took up nursing as well as phlebotomy and graduated from Bell Brown Institute. Moved to ATL in 2017 towards the end of summer and started working with a travel company doing traveling phlebotomy and I absolutely loved my job, got to go to different states and meet many different people. But after a few years I just wanted more for myself I saw way more for me. I’ve always been a girly girl as in taking care of how I looked and was careful of what I eat and drink. I always get compliments on how do I keep my body looking the way it does and so well put together. So I started doing research in maintaining the body because it was certain things I wanted to fix on myself without going under the knife per-say.
So after long research, maybe two years of holding off, going back and forth in my head, and discussing things with family members, I finally decided on a noninvasive body sculpting machine. Where I can practice on myself and maintain my body. And then it dawned on me I can make other woman/men feel good about their body too if I was to start my own business in this plus in my head ATL is the place to be it’s so many plastic surgery places out here and everyone is always going to get their bodies done lol. At least that was my thought process.
I just went through so much in the last year of 2023. I lost my job in July 2023, and I said forget it I’m going to start my own business the year 2024 I’m going all in, and January 1st, 2024 is when I put all my eggs in one basket and jump out on a leap of faith and went for it and now I’m here, and very thankful for my clients that I have already I just continue to pray and ask god for guidance structure and the ability to learn more to better my self and my brand.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been easy at all, but I feel like that’s what makes it all worth it: to see what you have been through and keep going. Some struggles I’ve had to deal with are having no money to cover your household and/or merchandise for your business or the products you need to start a business.
Some times didn’t even know exactly where to turn because nobody’s gonna just give you the blueprint you gotta do your research and find out for yourself. It was a lot. But I didn’t give up.
