Community Highlights: Meet Hasana Muhammad of Ha Sadity Flava

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hasana Muhammad.

Hi Hasana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a single mother of two born and raised in Newark NJ…moved to Atlanta in 2014 when my kids was teenagers searching for a better life, change of environment, and definitely on the mission for success, lol at least I thought, one thing.

I’ve learned on this journey of success or anything you want, the key is always keeping your mind on the mission… (your initial goal) very important… so loving the A catching up on old friends and just simply going through life hiccups I enrolled in empire beauty school 2015 graduated in2016 I was super proud worked at a salon living life doing what I thought I loved, but still was unsure why I’m not satisfied, why I don’t feel the love that I use to have doing hair, so one Saturday afternoon I had a client coming over @12 and when she came I had dinner cooking, she walked in and said baby you can smell the goodness getting out the car, I laughed but was sure to let her get a plate so she knows the taste match… so I started just selling plates to my hair clients and between that and work it worked… things was going great then Boom the life of COVID… and then with PRAYER BOOM, was the birth of Ha Sadity FLAVA… 2019 was a major loss for me… THE world practically shutting down I lost lots of business.

However, surely most powerful is our creator, who has the perfect plans over our lives if we just learn to not panic in confusion but be calm and think of a conclusion, and in that bunch of thought and emotions, I found my purpose, in cooking, Spreading the love inside of me to the joy and art of cooking..and truly I can say where I’m at now is I guess what they call success happy…I’m on Doordash, I’m in the process of re-editing my cookbook that’s already on Amazon, I’m working on a new book, I have sauces and seasons out online for sale, I also have my own his &her apron line along with chef hats my Goal is to bring back family time family gathering and the joys of cooking together…

Lastly, my words to the world never be stuck wondering if your happy or satisfied, that thought alone means something higher or greater is in you ..always Strive to reach your purpose because there lies happiness and success that money can’t buy…

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Lol, definitely not. Well, one major setback for me was COVID… Both businesses that support me and family took a major hit. I had to learn or think of new things because no one was ordering food or getting the hair done, and that’s when I was blessed with the idea to create the apron line and put out my seasoning and sauces.
