Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly (RychieRoux). They and their team shared their story with us below:
Just a young girl from Louisiana with big dreams. Rychie pushed her way through life, did what everyone didn’t believe she could do. As a little girl, she always had a “THANG” for cooking and feeding her family and friends. Quickly she realized that this talent shouldn’t be a secret and decided to pursue her dreams. Rychie later became the “QUEEN” of Gumbo! In 2007 she started a catering company called Rychie’s. In 2019, she bought her first food truck called Gumbeaux Girlz. Now looking to expand, keep your eyes on her; she has so much more in store.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been easy, Rychie started selling plates out of the trunk of her car in 2006 Covington Highway in Decatur, Georgia. No hand outs, everything that she has. She has worked extremely hard for.

Gumbeaux Girlz -Specializes in Gumbo and New Orleans Cuisine. You’ll definitely get the French Quarter experience with our Poboys and Beignets. We cater as well! The best part of us is we come to you!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Advice- just don’t quit nothing is easy keep going! Rich people take risk and winners are willing to lose. In order to win, you have to take the risk of losing. No one is going to take you more serious than you. No one is gonna work harder for your business than you. It’s not easy, but it will all be worth it.
