Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Poole
Hi Jaime, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Gwinnett’s best kept secret, Grayson. Which isn’t too much of a secret anymore. I’m currently navigating the “transitioning teacher” journey as I make a career pivot. Growing up, my family was hyper focused on us learning how to set goals in every aspect of our life. Our goals would range from academics to personal. Vision statements and vision boards had to connect and regularly be revisited to ensure decisions and steps were still aligned. I attended the great University of Georgia where I studied Human Development and Communications. During college, I was heavily involved with student leadership which sparked my interest in sharing this passion with the next generation. After graduation, I served 2 years in South Carolina as a Teach For America Corps Member teaching middle school math. I continued my teaching career locally in Metro Atlanta for almost a decade.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like everyone, I have faced my share of challenges. One significant hurdle has been my most recent career pivot outside of the classroom. This transition has taught me adaptability, self-discipline, and truly believing in myself. These things have been crucial for my professional growth. When I am not serving as a personal assistant for my toddler, Amanda, you will find me on the tennis court. Tennis has challenged my mental, stamina, and endurance which are all things that have improved my life overall.
As you know, we’re big fans of Yours Truly by Jaime. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Currently, I work in an Account Management space. I have fallen in love with truly adding value to my clients. I believe that everyone should be their best self and oftentimes individuals cannot reach this by themselves. And, that is okay. I have taken my years as an educator and honed in on my relationship-building, problem solving, and organization skills to become a value add to the success of any organization I am a part of. This newly found chapter of my life is where my Virtual Assistance Business was created, Yours Truly by Jaime.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel my success comes from leveraging my love for details to provide personalized and efficient support to others. I genuinely have a love for helping and getting to know others. So, being able to work in a space where “over communicating” is a positive not only allows for goals to be met, but I am building great relationships along the way.
