Jarae, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Over 10 years ago, I started my journey as a club promoter in the Chicagoland area, where I quickly found myself booking major celebrity artists for top events. As I built valuable relationships with these artists, I became a trusted connector—linking them with promoters and club owners across the country.
After losing both of my parents, I stepped out on faith and made the bold move to Atlanta, already having strong connections with some of the biggest promoters and artists in the city. Little did I know, that leap would open doors I never imagined. With the support of industry heavyweights like Boosie Badazz, Big Sexy, DJ M, and other influential names, I found myself in major rooms and collaborations that transformed my career.
Today, I proudly wear the title as an Entertainment & Celebrity Relations Manager. I’ve worked alongside a host of celebrities, club owners, and promoters, taking on roles I once dreamed of. This journey has been a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and relentless hustle. I’m just getting started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all!! There were times I was investing my last dollars into events, barely making enough to cover it. I’d book venues only to have them shut down or double book me on the same day of my event. When I lost both of my parents less than 7 months apart, it hit me hard—mentally and financially. Moving to Atlanta was supposed to be a fresh start, but I had to rebuild everything from scratch, from my brand to my connections, in a whole new state. It was a grind, but giving up was never an option.
