

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarvis Gray.
Hi Jarvis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am the founder and CEO of the Quality Coaching Company. I help goal-centered entrepreneurs & small business owners who find themselves struggling, in trouble, or just not growing as fast as they would like to immediately increase their revenue and profits by showing them how to generate more leads, attract more customers, and make more money… without spending more on marketing or advertising.
I launched my business back in 2017 with an initial focus centered on healthcare organizations. I expanded my focus to the greater small business market in 2019 when I realized the gap in seeing small business struggle early in the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. By background, I am an industrial engineer, or business engineer, with over 20 years of experience in project management, operational improvement, business analytics, and strategic planning. Today there are 32+ million small businesses in the United States that account for 40%+ of the economy and an incredibly high rate of failure. I personally understand how essential it is for these businesses to succeed. Business failures lead to destruction, addiction, depression, anxiety, suicides, and, unfortunately, far more. As a Business Growth Strategist, the impact that I can bring to my business clients has the sincere potential to save marriages, families, and kids from self-destruction and ultimately save lives!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of the biggest areas that I’ve had to grow into over the past 6+ years has been getting rid of the mindset for work and life “balance” and adopting what I feel is a better mindset for work and life “integration.” This past year as I’ve dug in deeper to accelerate the growth of my own business, I struggled with wanting to be present for both my clients and my family. Then I learned the concept of work-life integration and invited my clients to learn more about my family and vice versa.
Accepting that as a new framework for being a business owner has completely changed my outlook on what’s possible for maintaining great relationships personally and professionally. My clients have been introduced to my kids, and my son helps me routinely with different tasks within my business. It’s so exciting when he comes home from school with new business ideas of his very own, and at nine years old, seeing the clarity and understanding that he has about serving and taking charge of his own future is absolutely inspiring to everything that I’m working to build.
I am also proud of the fact that this year my team and I have been able to help small businesses target over $10+ million of new revenue growth opportunities! Unfortunately, we didn’t quite hit our goal of a $15 million target for our small business clients, but I know that impact is tremendous for those that we’ve been able to serve this year!
Because of the momentum that we are building, and the lessons learned this year, we have a tremendous strategy to roll out two new coaching and consulting programs for small businesses in the new year ahead.
So, through the struggles have come my biggest accomplishments this year centered on learning from some of our shortcomings while still serving at a very high level and continuously innovating to make sure we hit our goals and serve more business owners in the future to come!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve thought a lot about this, especially since I went to school to become an industrial engineer, and even now, as a business strategist in my company, I’m still learning and growing in my field. As a child, the first thing I would say about myself is that I was a people person who liked getting close to other people. I feel very happy when I work hard with my friends to reach a goal. I have real, mutually beneficial one-on-one relationships that come naturally to me, and my honesty helps me build close, long-lasting connections that build trust and confidence.
I also had a strong sense of my own importance, which means I always knew I wanted to make a big difference. I remember telling my fourth-grade teacher that I was going to start a business and be my own boss so I could change the world. I said this when I was growing up in a very poor community and hadn’t even seen a real-life entrepreneur. I was very comfortable working alone, and I still am. I was and am also very good at putting projects and tasks in order of importance based on how much they would affect the people, teams, or groups around me at the time. In this way of thinking, it would be easy for me to say that I lived by the saying “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
I was also always very strategic when I was younger. This means that I always tried to find different ways to solve problems in the things I did. If I was in any situation, I could quickly see the patterns and problems that need to be solved to move forward. I’ve always given this strength to my mother because she taught me how to play chess when I was very young.
Last but not least, I would say that I have a very high level of self-confidence. I’ve always been sure that I could take risks and handle my own life. It’s almost as if I’ve always had an inner compass that has helped me make decisions with a very high level of certainty.
