Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Ojeda Jr.
Jason, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, I got started very young. My grandfather started it all as a family-run carpet cleaning company, then my pops picked it back up and when I came of age, I branched off. I remember going to work with my pops when I was around 10. Missing school and all. Then when I became 18/19, I was motivated to keep the family business going and I’ve been going ever since.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nah, not smooth at all. When I branched out on my own, it was hard to get business at first. All potential customers saw was a little kid. They didn’t hear what I had to offer. I became a firefighter so I had no facial hair, I was small, and I had a babyface. Which was not a good combination. So either I had people who looked at me like I didn’t know what I was talking about, those who accused me of just wanting to get in homes so I can steal, or ones that knew I was good but said “what’s my discounted price?” I was NOT making any money. Lol
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in DRY carpet cleaning. We are known for our customer service. Apart from the detailed work we display, our customer service is what sets us apart from other companies. When you choose my company to clean your carpets, I view it as cleaning my own carpets. If I was spending my hard-earned money, I would want the best. And that’s what’s you will get!
How do you think about happiness?
My family, working with my hands, helping others. See my family is my motivation. My wife is very supportive and my kids are my encouragement. I make sure to provide for them and set the example of being a hard worker. So when they are good, I’m good! I enjoy working with my hands in creating things. I do photography on the side and I build things. So I like the creativity behind these things. The “Wow look what we just did” effect. Lol. Helping others is important to me because I had certain ones to help me. I try to return the favor. Sometimes all it takes is a genuine “Good morning, how you doing?”
