Hi Jessica, It’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us. To start, could you share some of your backstory with our readers?
The idea of Park Ave Cosmetic Center started when I moved from California to Georgia seven years ago. It was difficult for me to find a medical spa that had similar services to what I was used to. A light bulb went off, and I decided to build a place that offered advanced aesthetics in a beautiful environment with easy parking access. After doing my research, I put together the funding needed for my business and started the hiring process for our healthcare staff. We developed an exciting menu with fair pricing for local North Atlanta women to enjoy.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The original plan was to start in a small place and drive people to our Roswell, Georgia, location through the Internet and social marketing. Once I had enough customers and feedback, we would open up a commercial space. After one year in business, we invested in a commercial space in Roswell. What we did not expect was opening up during the middle of the Covid pandemic. It took a lot of courage to move forward, not knowing how long the pandemic would last. Fortunately, we survived the pandemic, and the year after, we doubled our sales.
We’ve been impressed with Park Ave Cosmetic Center, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
Park Ave Cosmetic Center is all about Tightening, Lifting, and clearing your Skin. Our healthcare professionals use treatments such as Botox, fillers, PDO threads, lasers, and medical-grade skin care to create magic. After five years of hard work, we’ve won multiple ‘Best of’ awards and are now expanding to a second location in Duluth, GA. Our success story is a testament to the potential of entrepreneurship, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for Park Ave Cosmetic Center.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Since I am a first-generation entrepreneur, I rely on YouTube, the YouTube platform, and books for business inspiration. My motto is to only listen to the advice of the people who have already created successful businesses. I do not listen to friends or family.
