Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica “Jynxx” Johnson.
Hi Jessica “Jynxx”, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our story is your story in so many ways. We live to help you tell your story. Your story is what will propel you forward and resonate with your clients. It’s that story that often gets overlooked by businesses. Every piece of collateral is a part of your overall story, your why. And it locks you in with your tribe. It’s just waiting to be told.
We create the brand. From your story.
I was born to do this. And I’ve found like-minded people who were also born to do this. And now, we impact people’s lives and businesses with our talents. We formed from humble beginnings and grew to have national impact. We were able to touch so many people with our Cerving Confidence campaign that it was nominated for the PR Week award (light flex)!!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I started with literally a dream. The business was in its infancy, and so was my daughter when I split from her dad. I had no idea if I could afford life with a new baby, a new business and a dream- and no backup plan. But sometimes not having a backup plan is a sure-fire way to make things work. Seven years later, we are thriving and growing (both the baby and the business) and continuing to create change in the world and helping entrepreneurs and small businesses show up stronger.
As you know, we’re big fans of Creative Edge. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We’re comprised of designers, developers, project managers and writers. We are in the process of launching our beta marketing services for a full service, turnkey experience from branding to web to monetization.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Business starts with mindset. And with a good circle of like-minded individuals. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my mentor, AJ Joiner, who nudged me in this direction and set me up for success. And every day you wake up, you have to be able to tackle a new set of challenges because yesterday’s mindest, knowledge and skillset won’t get you to tomorrow’s goals.
