Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnita Collins.
Hi Johnita, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was saved at a very young age in a Pentecostal church where the people were serious about the Blood and Jesus Christ. For me, this was an extremely serious experience. After my mother passed, I lived with my sister and began attending a Baptist church filled with family members. My experiences in that environment significantly impacted my view of the Church. I not only saw the church members in the church, but outside of it—where they drank, smoked, cussed, partied, and did everything else. They were one way in the church and another outside of it. They were on the usher boards, serving as deacons, and holding other positions. As a young believer, seeing this up close and personal helped me come into the understanding and realization that people may have been in the church, but they were not IN Jesus Christ.
These seeds became the foundation on which the Lord would build and shape my calling and launch me into ministry. I absolutely despised the hypocrisy and compromising nature of the church made with human hands. I developed a hunger and a thirst to not only represent my King, but to become a living example of His Kingship within the government of His Ecclesia. Today, my calling and purpose is to “make living Epistles.” I stand on this passage of Scripture from John 4:17, “Herein is our love made perfect, THAT WE MAY HAVE BOLDNESS IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.” This is how the Kingdom advances.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Living a life for Jesus Christ is full of sacrifice. In the natural sense, it’s absolutely not smooth. But in the Jesus sense, it absolutely is. Because when you walk with Him, you find your life hidden in Him. When you want to say no, you end up saying yes—because your agreement is with Christ.
That message isn’t popular in the Body of Christ. Many want the handout of Jesus, but they don’t want Jesus Himself.
Reign Embassy is all about—bringing people into the true understanding of who He is – The Christ who walked the earth, the Christ who destroyed Satan—the old serpent—not just once, but three times, in heaven, in hell and on earth.
There is a huge deficit in the church about who we serve and the real purpose of salvation, and I get to preach the true gospel that pulls people out of lukewarmness. That’s a blessing, even though many don’t realize they are lukewarm.
Think about it: the palace in England is never unguarded. Guards stand at their posts day and night. Yet the King of kings, the Lord of lords, is often left unguarded by His own people. My life is a constant awareness of that reality, and I’ve picked up the burden to cover Him.
So is the road smooth? Yes, because my steps are ordered. Is it rough? Yes, because the ordered life requires denying yourself. And that’s the cost I gladly pay.
2 Timothy 2:12 reminds us that if we SUFFER WITH CHRIST, we will REIGN with Him.
We’ve been impressed with The DominionHeir Academy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am an entrepreneur with over 25 years of business ownership, with financial literacy as the bedrock of my success. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic—on the heels of the 100-year anniversary of the Black Wall Street Race Massacre—I became the #1 Financial Advisor in my territory of Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas, and Southwest Missouri within the #1 mutually funded financial service organization in America.
In that span of time, I must have spoken with over 500 people and serviced more than 150 families, businesses, and individuals across the United States. Whether by phone, in person, or via Zoom, I encountered the distress and apprehension that always seems to lurk when people face their financial reality. Yet what I witnessed, experienced, and overcame taught me how to help my clients overcome as well—by putting God Almighty at the headship of their finances.
My educational foundation laid the groundwork for my future in finance. I began with business studies at Vincent High School, graduating in 1992. I continued at Alverno College, specializing in business, and later at the Community College of Philadelphia, further strengthening my academic base for a career in the financial sector.
I am the author of The DominionHeir Planner, a tool designed to set people on the path of wealth. I also developed The DominionHeir Financial Dominion Program, which equips individuals and families for wealth and legacy building.
I was also honored to be featured at the Conference of African American Financial Professionals (CAAFP), a premier platform that advances representation and empowers Black financial professionals. Alongside this recognition, I was highlighted in a full Tulsa People Magazine layout, where my managing partner publicly thanked me for my outstanding work. In August 2019, I joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative. There, I excelled at building client relationships by understanding both their present and future financial goals. I continued to strengthen my expertise through licensure and certifications: Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance in 2019, Series 6 in 2020, and Series 63 in 2021. That moment changed her life forever. God consistently unveiled His Word, allowing her to experience His world and understand what He endures.
The disgrace, dishonor, disrespect, and outright abuse she witnessed surpassed natural comprehension. It was in this place of deep revelation and suffering that Reign Embassy was born—a movement where believers reign through warring and suffering with Christ to establish His Kingdom citizenry on earth.
