Community Highlights: Meet Joy Wyatt

Hi Joy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2010, I graduated from Savannah State University. Like many newly college grads, I needed money until I could secure a career in my field. So, I became a property manager assistant and apartment leasing agent, where eventually, I worked my way up the ladder. In 2018, I became a licensed real estate agent and decided to resign as an apartment leasing agent.

At first, I was still focused on being a property management assistant, so I did not use my license to the best of my ability. In 2021, I realized I wanted more for myself professionally and noticed I was standing in my own way. I resigned from my job and became a full-time real estate agent. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. This is when I joined Village Premier Collection. Since joining Village Premier Collection, I have become an Associate Broker, and I am the 2023 Program Director for the Women’s Council of Realtors- Atlanta Network. Also, I am a member of the Atlanta and Miami Youth Professional Network. It took a lot of faith, prayers, time, discipline, focus and money to get where I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I have made a lot of sacrifices and overcame so many fears. My main struggle along the way was doubting myself. I did not give myself much grace, and it reflected in my work and production.

We’ve been impressed with Your Joyful Property Group in partnership with Village Premier Collection, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Your Joyful Property Group is a business who assists with creating generational wealth through purchasing and selling of property. I am an associate broker/REALTOR® with Village Premier Collection. I specialize mainly in investors, but work with 1st home buyers as well. Many of my 1st home buyers have came back to me, sold their homes and/or bought their investment properties through me. I am known for being patient, knowledgeable, and accessible throughout the entire journey. I am most proud of my brand’s growth. To see where I came from to where I am now is absolutely amazing and somewhat shocking. My services are here to HELP YOU, not HARM YOU! The process of purchasing or selling a home can be stressful or feel like you are on a rollercoaster. Therefore, you need a professional you can communicate with and trust.
