Community Highlights: Meet Julie Caricato of Atlanta Communities Alpharetta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Caricato.

Hi Julie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started as an agent in 2001 and developed my own team running new construction homes and developments. Became a broker in 2006 and started coaching and mentoring other agents. Ran several national company offices throughout the Eastern region, recruited for them and trained agents and four years ago landed as a Managing Broker in Alpharetta for Atlanta Communities, a local company with a multi-billion dollar brand. I opened the Alpharetta location in 2019 and went from zero to 200 agents in 3 years. We are a growing company, brand and welcome the opportunity to tell our story.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Finding the “right fit” is always a challenge, but when you find it- you know it and there’s nothing like it! Growth is inevitable when you love what you do! The challenge of the “crash” in new construction especially happened in 2007 which caused me to have to reinvent myself and shift in the changing market. I found my sweet spot in management and brokering and haven’t looked back.

Learning to shift your mindset and focus when markets shift is important to overcome the changes and remain relevant and successful.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Atlanta Communities Alpharetta?
Formed in 2009, a former RE/MAX office owner went independent and local. Now seven offices strong with over 1700 agents in the Metro Atlanta area, Atlanta Communities offers a full-service brokerage with low fees to help agents take home more of their hard-earned money! Training, CE, full-service marketing team, KV Core platform, many technology offerings, full support staff, broker support, events, local charity events, free office space and MORE! Our agents thrive because they come first! Our brokers are here to serve, coach, support and guide as markets change. Often, we say that agents come to AC because of the fee structure but stay because of all the other things! It’s a family-oriented and fun environment. Our agents get training throughout the company on current events from all brokers and trainers, not just their home office. Some of the things that other companies charge for are included here at AC, and agents realize the intangible differences in pricing of branding and marketing and in house options.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
It’s SO refreshing to be in an environment that accepts agents and leadership where they are and encourages comradery and individualism. Agents come to AC from other companies that put high pressure in performance and are numbers-driven. When they land here, oftentimes they thrive even more, but there is not the ranking pressure or other broker pressure that some brokerages adhere to. Happiness is loving where you work and who you work with and having fun at work, as well as being productive.

My driving factor behind what I do has always been my three girls as I was raising them and running my business. Now I am thankful to have three wonderful son-in-laws and two beautiful granddaughters.
