Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Videla
Hi Karla, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am from Chile, South America. I came to Georgia when I was 14 years old. I am a mother of three boys 13, 5, and 2. After high school I started working in the Dental field and I was there about 9 years. I realized I need more time with my first son which at that time he was little so I decided to go to Esthetician school. I got my license and became my own boss. I’ve had my beauty bar since 2017. I’ve been very blessed with great clients that have kept me in business these years….it has been a long journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth ride. The hardest time was at the beginning, since I was new and didn’t have any clients. I started in my house and when I had enough clients I was able to rent a studio. As my business started growing I rented two studios and now I have my own beauty bar with several rooms to do everything we offer.
As you know, we’re big fans of D’Luxury Beauty Bar. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a licensed Esthetician and laser tech. I specialized in skin care, facials, laser hair removal, and micropigmentation.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The main thing is to never give up. To always be consistent and focus on doing one thing at a time.
My advice is to really focus on what you like to offer and to make sure it’s something you really like and are very passionate about. For everyone starting out to follow their dreams to always remember that hard work pays off.
