Hi Kennedy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am currently a 4rth year pre-med student attending Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. I am a former pageant queen, Miss Earth USA Fire, of the Miss Earth USA pageant system and have always had a passion for fashion. I initially started Beauty Queens Galore, a pageant resource brand, with the intentions of representing all things dealing with pageantry and beauty with an all-inclusive approach. I feel like it’s important for beauty to be represented in all shapes, sizes and characteristics. After developing the pageant resource brand, I decided to take the approach one step further by building a sister brand company, Beauty Queens Galore Prom and Pageant, a formal evening wear store located in Fayetteville, GA. I recall shopping for a gown, not so long ago, in a prom and pageant store and not being shown the more costly gowns, perhaps because I didn’t look like I could afford that caliber of garments. Nonetheless, I was determined to create a space where all women, regardless of their believed social-economic status, felt like a beautiful queens.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With any start-up business, there are always going to be ups and downs with rocky patches here and there. I have been fortunate enough to have family members and friends to help me along the way. Being affiliated with pageantry helped to build pageant partners within the industry that have help to guide me, and for that I am extremely grateful! There was a time or two I felt certain doors closing, and got nervous about the future of the brand, however, I am always reminding myself that when one door closes, another opens.

BQG Prom and Pageant offers a wide array of styles for every occasion, from prom and pageants to formal galas and weddings. Our in-store consultants are trained to style Queens of every shape and size for any occasion. Our garments have been featured on some of the who’s who of Atlanta, as well as many Hollywood A-listers.
Our trends are current, as our inventory is hand-selected by a team of fashion-forward savvy buyers. Our buyers work hand in hand with some of the top leading designers in the industry to keep our Queens a step ahead of the rest.
When it comes to pageantry, look no further! We’ve dressed pageant queens of multiple systems who have gone on to win national titles. Our sister brand, Beauty Queens Galore Pageant Resources has direct access to some of the top coaching systems in the world, who are both locally and internationally acclaimed.
What’s next?
It is my intent to further develop Beauty Queens Galore, the pageant resource brand, to encompass all things affiliated with not only pageantry but also beauty as a whole. I want to Beauty Queens Galore to be a household name as it relates to pageantry. Our store has already incorporated expansion plans, with the hopes of having Beauty Queens Galore Prom and Pageant in 2 neighboring states within the next year.
As always, we plan to continue being a pillar in the community and working with local non-profit organizations, as our philosophy is “Helping your neighbor is more valuable than any sale”.
