Today we’d like to introduce you to Kima Carter.

Hi Kima, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I went to college for my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice At The Unsinkable Albany State University. As a college student, I started doing hair and fell In love with it. I took a break from college to go to cosmetology school & get my Master Cosmetology License and I did now I’m back in college finishing my degree while expanding my business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a struggle leaving college and adapting to my new school, It took me longer than expected but in the end, I graduated, got my license, and continued my degree.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Licensed Master Cosmetologist specializing in Braids and natural hairstyles. My most popular services would be Feed in braids, Knotless braids, Dreadlock Retwist & Silk Presses. I offer a wide variety of natural styles, natural hair treatments, braid styles, quick weaves and more! What sets my business apart from other businesses would be my customer service skills. I try to provide the best customer service and provide a safe space to relax and cater to you! I’ve been doing hair for 2+ years. Right now, I’m servicing Albany State University students in Albany, GA. I travel back and forth to McDonough to service clients.
