Community Highlights: Meet Marco of Lumexx Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marco.

Hi Marco, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Lumexx Media is a distribution company that started once we started seeing the demand for streaming and not seeing a lot of Hispanics in the room. At the time, we were really focused on urban content and bringing that to different streaming platforms like Roku, Tubi and Amazon. Those same players at those platforms had asked me for Spanish content, and I saw an opportunity for us to really grow in that horizon.

Our focus became distribution and everything that entails, with that sales agent, marketing, delivering metadata, cue points, and really understanding IP and the rights that our creatives have. Our goal for 2026 is to really amplify all of the Atlanta voices.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. A lot of the time, distribution is not really thought of until the product is almost finished or completely finished, where realistically it should be thought of from the very beginning. Especially here in Atlanta, I think that we have amazing production facilities all across, but in the same breath we don’t really consider our impact locally and internationally.

So it creates this dynamic where it’s an uphill battle to promote the content at conventions with platforms and an uphill battle locally to showcase our true value.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I think I would really like you to know that Lumexx Media is first and foremost a distribution company but we are really open to working with creatives on all aspects. I think the dynamic of what entertainment is today is changing right beneath us, and I think locally we can have a big impact with our own communities and internationally reaching people that otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to in the past.

We specialize in making sure that you understand the value of your IP. Whether it’s a film, a TV show, or if you’re even looking to get into producing, we really can tell you where we see the market going and the value you can bring to it. What sets us apart is that we’re here in Atlanta and we’re looking to work with everybody that we can.

I think we’re most proud of our brand, the fact that we’re putting more money into the community. The fact that we’re willing to have hard conversations with the community. The fact that it’s a team effort. I don’t think I’m doing it by myself. I think I’m very grateful for my team and the clients that we have, as well as the opportunities that Georgia has opened up to me.

– My clients’ story
I think this is a long business with a long tail. At the end of the day, I want people to look back and say, “Those were some good stories that we had.”

On a direct date today, I think value, problem-solving. I think when more people in businesses lean towards AI, I think I value a team member more than I ever did in the past.
