Hi Mark, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Originally from Northeast Ohio, my journey has taken me from Northwest Pennsylvania to Texas and Atlanta, where I have resided since 2019. I have a more non-traditional business background, as I come from academia. I obtained my Ph.D. in Geographic Information Science from Texas State University (2019) and have since worked as a research fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
My research applies geospatial data science to spatial epidemiology, medical geography, and ecological niche modeling topics.
Recently, I expanded into the entrepreneurial sphere with Blue Nose Aerial Imaging, a veteran-owned small business, and the only franchised commercial drone services provider in the United States. As a franchise owner and FAA-certified drone pilot, I offer drone mapping and photography services in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
I believe that “Perspective is Key,” and drones offer a unique view of our world while enhancing our visual experience.
Blue Nose Aerial Imaging of Atlanta aims to raise the bar of the commercial drone services industry through standardization, safety, and professionalism.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have faced some obstacles along the way. These were related to finding my niche in the drone industry and standing out from competing businesses. Franchising was a good choice as it allowed me to access a nationwide support system while promoting a recognizable name in the drone service industry.
