Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Montique
Hi Michelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Lashed By Monroe & Montique’ Couture LLC was established March 14, 2022, because of my daughter. Living in South Atlanta and her going to college she always needed new lashes and I got tired of purchasing lashes that were just trash. So I did some research and found lashes that were of great quality and she liked them and during this transition I allowed her to name her own lash which is the Destini’ Lash.
I also named two other lashes after my two sisters which one lash is the Lavish and the Lisette Lash. Another lash is in honor of my best-friends aunt who passed away in 2018 from Lupus which is the “Tiffany” Lash. Upon selling lashes I did bring sunglasses into the line and two t~shirts to the Montique’ Couture Line. I also decided to add in Lipglosses to the brand which took the brand to another level at local events and pop up shops.
During this time I did introduce a lash to represent my best-friends and then in honor of another of my best-friends mother who passed tragically while I was on the phone with my best-friend when it happened so I named the Lash Gorgeous after her mother because she loved the song “ Good Morning Gorgeous,” in the event of this I was even given the honor to have another of my Lashes from the line put on her for her to be laid to rest and it was the Marilyn Lash and she wore the Panamanian Passion Lipgloss from the line also.
While moving forward I decided to expand the brand and brought more lipgloss colors in and introduced 5 new Matte Lipstick kits that included lipliners, separates Matte lipsticks along with other new branded Lipglosses and then to top it off with 12 different Lip-oils/Lipplumpers that give your lips a sweet smell, along with hydration to your lips, and a little plumpness to your lips. These are some of the top products right now and all products are Vegan and Lashes can be worn up to 10-15 times if taken care of properly.
I’ve come along way in my business I’ve rebranded on my own when I was supposed to have help but I had to do what I had to do for my business and my brand. I’ve had so much support these last 3 years and I pray it continues and my business flourishes even more.
My goal is to help make everyone feel beautiful on the days they have special moments, occasions, or just want to get out of the house because there was a time where my life was almost cut short due to surgeries from a car accident so I live life to the fullest and I love the beauty in it and helping others, because everyday is not a good day for some and you never know how much just a little beauty product can make someone’s day.

Beauty comes from within but you can always shine bright like a diamond 💎 when stepping out, I’ve been through so many trials and tribulations and you can’t tell but why because you never judge a book by its cover. A car accident almost took me away from my family and look at me now almost 3 years in business come 3/14/2025 and blessed and thankful. So continue to set those goals and go after them and don’t let nothing or nobody deter you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As far as it been a smooth road, every business has its ups and downs. You will have slow sales and then big sales during different times.
You have to be in control of everything from inventory, advertising, shipping, and customer service. So it’s a lot that I’ve gone through. Learning if business mangers are important was a very important lesson for me and you just have to follow your heart, gut and instincts on certain situations.
No road is ever easy or smooth , you have to be able to handle all that comes with owning a business that includes the problems, the situations, the good, and the bad that’s what will help you be able to run your business.
Understanding these aspects will help make your business stronger and will help you as a business owner as well and as a person also.

What am I known for past tense I would have been known as the woman that had a passion for Criminal Justice and forensic science , now I’m known as the Beauty Guru in my area. I do lash tech services on the side when I have free time but my business takes up majority of the time.
What I would say I’m most proud of is that I’m overcome so much and I’m still standing and learning how to improve more and more and how to be even better. I’m also proud that I’m true to my self and I’m only in competition with myself.
What sets me apart from others would be all my products are all personally named, my products have meaning behind them that’s what makes them stand out from others and I stay devoted to giving quality products to my customers and providing great customer service to my customers.
I look at what’s in style and choose what to keep in my line and what to pull out of the line.
I look forward to those looking forward to shopping with me and getting a chance to support my small business that I’m trying to expand.
I also have recently had the opportunity to provide services to a pagent a in Orlando, FL this past August with makeup services with all products from my beauty line for a beauty pageant contestant which I know personally which was a great opportunity and experience so that, has been added to the books as well.
The brand does travel as well that’s what definitely makes it stand out from the rest.

Favorite books that help in my life right now would be the Untethered Soul, Show up as Her, Emotional Detox, and Good Vibes Good Life. Very good reads.
