Community Highlights: Meet Minel Dzebo of Indicator Digital Marketing LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Minel Dzebo.

Hi Minel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My marketing journey started back in middle school when I took my first marketing class. I immediately fell in love with it. I learned the fundamentals of marketing and even built my first website. From that point on, I made it a goal to take a marketing class whenever I had the opportunity.

By high school, I realized marketing was more than just an interest. It was something I could actually turn into a career. During my senior year, I began creating logos, flyers, and editing videos for friends who owned businesses. That experience pushed me to choose marketing as my college major.

At the end of 2023, I decided to officially go public with my business. I launched Indicator Digital Marketing and created social media pages to start building a presence. At the time, I was a full-time college student working a part-time job at a gas station, so progress was slow. I took on small projects here and there, but nothing significant yet.
Eventually, I made the decision to leave my job and focus on developing my sales skills. I worked in door-to-door sales and later moved into car sales, specifically to strengthen my communication and closing abilities so I could apply them to my own business. That experience completely changed how I approached marketing and client relationships.

In mid-2024, I landed my first major client, and they have been working with me ever since. I manage their social media and handle all of their advertising. That first big deal showed me what was possible and motivated me to push even harder.

Because of my background in the automotive industry, I began focusing heavily on car-related businesses, which led to my largest client to date, Maxie Price Chevrolet. From there, the business continued to grow. I expanded beyond automotive and started working with contractors such as roofers, flooring companies, pressure washing businesses, etc.

Throughout the process, I have consistently invested in my education by purchasing sales and marketing courses to keep learning and improving. Today, Indicator Digital Marketing works with at least five businesses every month, helping them grow through social media management, paid advertising, and design work. What started as a middle school class has grown into a business I continue to build every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing everything. Even still today, I am a full-time college student while running a business, which requires a lot of discipline and time management. Early on, progress felt slow, and there were moments of uncertainty, especially with inconsistent income and trying to prove myself.

Another major struggle was learning sales. I quickly realized that marketing skills alone are not enough if you cannot communicate value or close deals. That is what pushed me into door-to-door sales and car sales, which were uncomfortable but taught me confidence, resilience, and how to handle rejection.

Those challenges shaped how I operate today and played a major role in getting me to where I am now.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Indicator Digital Marketing is a results-driven digital marketing agency focused on helping local businesses grow through strong online presence and paid advertising. We specialize in social media management, paid ads on platforms like Meta and TikTok, and custom creative such as ad content, graphics, and short-form video.

What sets us apart is that we do not just focus on posting content. We focus on outcomes. Every strategy is built around generating leads, driving traffic, and helping businesses actually make money. Because I have a background in sales, I understand both sides of the equation. Marketing is not just about getting attention, it is about converting that attention into real results.

We are especially known for our work with automotive businesses and service-based companies like contractors, but we also help businesses across multiple industries. I take a very hands-on approach with every client, making sure strategies are customized and not copied from a template.

Brand-wise, what I am most proud of is building Indicator Digital Marketing from the ground up while being a full-time college student. The brand represents consistency, hunger, and continuous improvement. I want readers to know that when they work with us, they are not just getting a marketing service. They are getting a partner who is fully invested in their growth and long-term success.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
One thing I would like readers to know is that growth does not happen overnight. Everything I have built came from consistency, learning through mistakes, and showing up every day even when progress was not obvious. I am still a full-time college student, still learning, and still improving, and I believe that mindset is a big reason the business continues to grow. This goes with my work as well, my work isn’t perfect but it’s usually better than what businesses already have going on.

If there is anything to take away from my journey, it is that you do not need everything figured out to start. You just need to start, stay disciplined, and be willing to put in the work.
