Community Highlights: Meet Nadia Lynn of Lead By Motivation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Lynn.

Hi Nadia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before I created Lead By Motivation, it was just an ordinary journal. The journal where I would write all my thoughts and experiences. I was trying to balance high school life and being a full-time parent at the same time. It wasn’t easy experiencing the sudden change of friends, listening to critics, and having people I barely even knew speak so harsh about me. Writing has always been a great way for me to express myself, so I started to post mini speeches on my Instagram page back in 2018. I was never the person who’d liked attention, but it was just an outlet to share my story. That’s when I noticed I wasn’t the only person who felt the way I’ve been hiding in my journals. In the process of finding myself all over again, I gained new friends, joined clubs, and built up my confidence. I knew I had a story to tell and wanted to help people just like me understand that we’re not alone. Lead By Motivation was created to empower and uplift young women by being an open outlet for those who struggle with obstacles throughout life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One obstacle I had to face was actually getting myself out there and trying new things. Like I’ve mentioned before, I was never the type of person who wanted to be the center of attention. Especially when I had acted as if I was someone else just to fit in the social norms. I was so caught up on everyone’s opinions of me that I didn’t realize how much time I’m missing out on not walking in my purpose. I grew up with similar people, and I knew I had to make a change in order to grow. So I spent time working on myself, doing what makes me happy, and not really caring about what others might say about it. I learned that the only person who could change the position I was in was me. I came to the realization that I was holding myself back.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Lead By Motivation encourages young women to accomplish their desired tasks and drive them towards goals. I give the community the opportunity to tell their story because everyone has one big or small. Here at Lead By Motivation, I understand that many women in the world might struggle with the same obstacles. There are women who already been through and conquered something that you currently going through yourself. I allow people to speak freely about real-life obstacles and lessons it shows us. What makes Lead By Motivation different from any other motivational organization would be that I keep all of my struggles, obstacles, fears and worries known with my supporters. I want them to understand that I’m not always going to let my achievements be known but to also share my flaws in the process. On the Lead By Motivation’s Instagram page, I post daily affirmations, and words of wisdom. Words of encouragement and events that I host to get the community involved. You can even book Lead By Motivation as a guest speaker for any upcoming events through our website. I refer to my followers & supporters as the LBM family because we are all human and we should come together as one despite our differences.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see Lead By Motivation helping thousands of families all over the world. I truly believe that I can make a huge impact to teen moms’ & other young women’s lives. While I was going through so many obstacles, God had placed certain people in my life to help me become the person I am today. Without those few people I met along the way, I wouldn’t have had anyone to really push me to be my best self. I plan to give back what God has given for me because I know firsthand how it feels to be alone…even in a group full of people. Another major goal is to be a great role model for my children. My children will grow up knowing that their mom is hard-working and motivated. Through my business, I will teach my children not to give up on their dreams because anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
