Community Highlights: Meet Neisha Tweed Bell of Next Level Up

Today we’d like to introduce you to Neisha Tweed Bell.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Creativity has taken me everywhere I’ve wanted to go – and places I’d never imagined. I left home (an island so small it’s often just a line pointing to a black dot in the ocean) at 16 with big dreams and an even bigger heart.

Since then, I’ve lived in FL and NY, worked at places like Ogilvy and Meta, stood on stages at colleges and Cannes, and won awards for poems in patois and experiences in VR. Thanks to advertising, I built a career as a creative professional and made a lot of cool shit, some of which changed the game for companies, consumers, and culture.

Now I’m sitting on two decades in advertising and tech and two years in entrepreneurship — this time with big dreams about artificial intelligence, cultural intelligence, and emotional intelligence — aka making cool shit better.

I like making good things great. Whether we’re talking about people, projects, or processes, I’m always asking, ‘How can I make this better?’

I’ve led groundbreaking projects blending creative problem solving, emerging technology, and community – from launching Citi Bike in NYC to creating VR experiences for St. Jude to establishing the health creative practice at Meta. Those projects might look different on the surface, but they all prove the same thing: when creativity meets culture and tech, you can actually move people.

My secret sauce is my authentic storytelling style and my ability to turn inspiration into action. Most AI training feels technical. Most inclusion work feels theoretical. I make both practical and joyful – so teams actually use what they learn and create better work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Have you ever seen sea glass? A piece of broken glass discarded in the ocean, knocked around by waves, ground down by sand, that eventually shows up on shore as something smooth, beautiful and special.

That’s been my journey. Every challenge has turned into a gift, for myself or someone else. I constantly remind myself that transformation can be painful and unpredictable, and I’m grateful for the bumps and brokenness – I’ve created beautiful things because of it and become more beautiful in the process.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Next Level Up?
My current focus is on pursuing, producing, and protecting joy in all its forms. And to keep the lights on, I also run Next Level Up, a consultancy where I solve expensive creative problems for businesses that are drowning in competing priorities, cultural misalignment, or fear of falling behind on AI. I’m building workshops that show creative professionals how to stop settling for AI’s generic output and start shaping it with the same skills they already use to mentor, edit, and lead. My sweet spot is helping professionals work better together while integrating creative strategies that amplify their impact. All with an eye on scalability and a buttload of joy.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My goal is to help folks unlock their productivity and creativity with tools and platforms powered by AI. I can show you how to make a custom GPT in an hour, do two days of work in one, and create just about anything – from bedtime stories starring your littles to branding for your business. You are still the engine, AI is now the accelerant – and I want to make sure people approach these new technologies with confidence, creativity, and care. (And don’t settle for generic AI slop)

Follow me on LinkedIn, where I share sharp takes, frameworks, and a little Caribbean-flavored magic on career, creativity, and culture. Hit me up if you or your team are struggling with productivity, cultural disconnects, or AI anxiety – let’s see what we can create together.

And if you’re wondering where your dreams can take you, or if your ideas matter, or if you can adapt to whatever comes next – I’m proof that there’s always room for more magic, especially yours.
