Hi Queteria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has been anything but conventional. I started my career as an educator, spending 14 years in the classroom shaping young minds. While I loved teaching, I felt a calling to do something different; something that would give me the freedom to build wealth for my family and impact my community in a new way. That led me to real estate.

I worked my way up in the industry, eventually becoming the owner-operator of a franchised brokerage, where I played a key role in expanding its presence. After stepping away, I focused on building my own brand, The Kinnebrew Group, where my passion for helping people find not just houses, but homes, truly came to life.

Through it all, my passion remains the same: helping people create meaningful connections; whether through homeownership, business, or community. This journey hasn’t been easy, but every pivot and challenge has brought me closer to living out my purpose in a way that feels truly aligned.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth, but every challenge has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. Transitioning from a steady career in education to real estate was a leap of faith. In the beginning, I had to rebuild my network, prove myself in a highly competitive industry, and push through the uncertainty that comes with commission-based income.

One of my biggest challenges came when I became the owner-operator of a franchised brokerage. I poured my time, energy, and resources into growing the brand, trusting people and their vision, only to find myself in a position where those decisions led to me losing everything. That experience taught me a hard but valuable lesson: always protect your own vision and work with people who are genuine, trustworthy, and not driven by narcissism.

There were also personal sacrifices; long hours, financial risks, and moments of self-doubt. But every obstacle reinforced my belief that success isn’t about avoiding struggle; it’s about pushing through it. That experience ultimately gave me the clarity and drive to rebuild, this time on my own terms, and I wouldn’t trade those lessons for anything.

We’ve been impressed with The Kinnebrew Real Estate Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Coming from a 14-year career in teaching, we naturally bring the qualities of patience, guidance, and a strong ability to break down complex information in a way that empowers my clients. Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One surprising thing that most people who know me or my brand might not realize is that I’m extremely silly, full of jokes, and love to have fun! Whether it’s playing games, joking around, or just embracing the lighter side of life, I believe in making the most of every moment. I try to infuse that joy into everything I do, both personally and professionally.

At the same time, I know when it’s time to take care of business. I’ve always had a strong work ethic and am dedicated to ensuring my clients get the best possible service. But I’ve found that a little laughter and fun can go a long way in building strong relationships and making the process enjoyable for everyone involved. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where work and fun can coexist and that’s something I strive to bring into everything I do.
