Within just a few years, RS Designs completed more than ten restaurant projects along with multiple office interiors and residential renovations, earning recognition for designs that balance aesthetics and practical build-out realities. Today, Radhika continues to lead the firm as a reliable partner for clients seeking thoughtful, well-executed spaces that work as beautifully as they look.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When Radhika Singh launched RS Designs LLC in Ashburn in 2023, the journey was far from easy, starting with limited resources, no established vendor network, and the challenge of proving herself in an industry dominated by larger, long-standing firms. She often managed every phase herself, from late-night drafting sessions and site visits to navigating permitting issues, construction delays, and tight client timelines. With no big team behind her, she had to earn trust project by project, frequently stepping in to solve unexpected problems on job sites and learning to balance design creativity with the harsh realities of budgets and build constraints. Despite these hardships, her persistence, technical skill, and willingness to take on complex projects helped her complete over ten restaurant designs, along with offices and residential renovations—establishing RS Designs as a dependable, hardworking design-and-construction partner in the region.
