Today we’d like to introduce you to Reginald “Reggie” Amponsah
Hi Reggie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have two core passions: Jesus Christ and creativity. Through my company, Edified Productions, I’ve been able to merge these two in a meaningful way.
Growing up in the church, I was deeply influenced by gospel music, but when I first started my career in music production, I didn’t initially consider it as my primary path. My professional journey began in 2018 when I officially started making money as a producer. My cousin, Naab, became my first major collaborator, and together, we navigated the industry, refining our sound and opening doors we never imagined.
In 2019, through a mutual friend, I was introduced to Bossbeatz, a pioneer in the Gospel and Afrobeat industry who has worked with some of the biggest names in those spaces. He welcomed me onto his team at Soundxtreem, where I embarked on a new chapter as a sound engineer—an area I quickly fell in love with. Through Soundxtreem, I had the opportunity to work on live concerts for renowned artists such as Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Davido, Rema, Adekunle Gold, and many more.
At the same time, I continued to develop my craft as a producer, working with artists like Yori, Nafa, and of course, Naab—helping them shape their sound and advance their careers. However, as my relationship with Jesus deepened, my focus began to shift. I felt a strong calling to align my creative pursuits with my faith, which ultimately led to the birth of Edified Productions—a Christian-based multimedia production company specializing in Christian music and content.
Over the past year, my team and I have been working diligently on some exciting projects, which we are set to release later this year. I’m incredibly grateful for this journey and look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Right before I met Bossbeatz, I was on the verge of quitting music. The initial success that Naab and I experienced came with immense pressure, and over time, I lost the joy that first drew me to production. I found myself overthinking, doubting my skills, and feeling uncertain about the future.
However, joining Soundxtreem and being mentored by Bossbeatz reignited my passion. In 2021, I took on the role of head engineer at my church, Redeem Christian Church—House of Glory in Austell, GA. That same year, I released my first single with Yori, “Secrets”, met Nafa, and created some incredible music with him, all while continuing to grow alongside Naab.
Then, on August 26, 2022, everything changed. Nafa tragically passed away, and his loss hit me hard. In just a year and a half of knowing each other, we had become like brothers. Losing him was devastating, but it also marked the beginning of a deeper journey in my faith. His passing pushed me to draw even closer to Jesus, and that transformation has shaped both my personal life and my creative journey in ways I never expected.

Edified Productions is a Christian-based multimedia production company dedicated to sharing the love and truth of Jesus through music, as well as short-form and long-form content. Our mission is to create high-quality, faith-centered media that uplifts, inspires, and spreads the gospel worldwide.
At the heart of our music division is The Vessels, my production team specializing in Christian Contemporary, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B within the Christian sector. In addition to music, we are actively developing a range of creative projects that will be announced in the coming weeks. As Chief Content Officer, I have the privilege of leading these initiatives, ensuring that every project aligns with our mission and values.
Though we are still in the early stages, once we officially go public, Edified Productions will offer full-service music production for gospel artists, as well as multimedia production services for Christian content creators. What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to serving God’s kingdom. Every member of our team understands that our work is not about personal success but about spreading the gospel and making a lasting impact for Christ. That mission is what I am most proud of.
Our goal is to be more than just a production company—we aim to be a movement, using creativity as a tool to glorify God, edify souls, while doing it with joyful hearts. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more soon!
