Community Highlights: Meet Rosa Moreno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosa Moreno.

Rosa Moreno

Hi Rosa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Back in 2010, I was a visual merchandiser for Belk; I found myself praying for a job that would be more than just a means to a paycheck. I longed for a career that would ignite my passion. Miraculously, an opportunity arose for a receptionist position at a kitchen and bath studio in East Cobb, even though I had no prior experience in that field. It was a risky decision, but I followed my heart and took a leap of faith.

At the studio, I dived into kitchen and bath design, learning materials, layouts, and creating beautiful spaces. With hard work and passion, I became knowledgeable, and my dream evolved.

Fueled by my calling, my mission, and my passion to help my clients create their ideal kitchen design specifically for their space, budget, and style. , I took a big leap and started my own kitchen and bath design firm.

To me, there is nothing more gratifying than listening and understanding the ideas and feelings of my clients, connecting all of the dots and to see those ideas successfully translate to reality, a reality that becomes something more significant than just a place to cook. The kitchen is the most important place for a family and its impact stays alive forever!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road, as we all know life is a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns. And my journey into entrepreneurship was full of challenges, initially rooted in self-doubt. The fact that English is my second language added a layer of concern, particularly when it came to ensuring clear communication with clients. Also, taking the responsibility of a business owner stirred a mix of excitement and anxiety within me. Gratefully, I have been surrounded by an exceptional team. Even with these challenges, my passion for helping families helps me forward. I’m prepared to tackle the highs and navigate through the lows, staying focused on my mission.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rosa Moreno Kitchens is an innovative kitchen design firm that helps homeowners create the kitchen of their dreams.

I specialize in transforming old and outdated kitchens into open, modern, and functional kitchens that encourage family members to come together.

I am known by my commitment to superior customer service. My goal is always to make my clients happy and help them through the emotional rollercoaster of a kitchen remodel.

I think what sets me apart is my style, personally, and my genuine desire to listen and understand the ideas and feelings of my clients. We are all different, and what works for one family doesn’t work for the other. Kitchen design is really personal and unique for each family.

I take pride in showcasing the wonderful before-and-after transformations of kitchens, with the added joy of having happy clients.

The kitchen is the most important place for a family and its impact stays alive forever.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The most valuable advice for finding a mentor and networking is to embrace curiosity and learn from everyone in your surroundings. Whether it’s someone you aspire to become or someone you don’t, each person serves as a potential teacher. Ask questions… lots of questions.
