Community Highlights: Meet Sami Tabbaa of Tabbaa Law, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sami Tabbaa

Hi Sami , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Panama City, Florida, and the child of Syrian and Lebanese immigrants who came to the United States to fulfill the American dream.

In 2008, I began my life in Georgia and attended Emory University for college. I graduated with a Bachelor degree from Emory University in 2012, with my major in Middle Eastern and South Asian studies and focus on the pre-law path. I took a year off before law school and interned for the esteemed President Jimmy Carter at the Carter Center’s International Conflict Resolution Program in Atlanta before attending law school in 2013. It was during that time I was first introduced and interned at a personal injury law firm. In 2016, I graduated with dual degrees, a Juris Doctor from the Georgia State University College of Law and a Master of Health Administration from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

After graduating law school, instead pursuing a career in law, I directed my career more towards the healthcare and insurance industries and worked as a business consultant for the world’s top insurance brokerage firm, Mercer, an affiliate of Marsh and McLennan Companies. Although I enjoyed my time there, I realized my knowledge and skillset was better served providing justice and helping those wrongly injured by others’ reckless behavior.

In 2018, I got back into personal injury, working as a managing associates of a mid-size personal injury practice, and in April 2021, I opened my own personal injury practice. I attribute a lot of my growth with the foundations of my firm lying in quality, communication and trust. Every client has a one on one relationship with me and my team and are regularly updated about how their case is going and what steps need to be taken to maximize the results of their rehabilitation and compensation. The “team” aspect of my client’s relationship with my firm and I is the biggest value received by my clients and it shows in the overwhelming amount of referrals I have received over the years. Regardless of my marketing efforts, the organic referrals have enabled my business to grow multifold. I hope to continue growing and impacting more lives while maintaining the same level of quality and trust all of my clients have experienced with me and my firm.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The first year was certainly not smooth. As a brand new entrepreneur, I had no idea how much network mattered and initially relied on spending money on marketing to gain clients. Within a few months, I theorized that attending community events, industry seminars, partaking in sponsorships, and simply reconnecting with old friends and colleagues would be more effective. After feeling as if I had plateaued for so long, in the end of 2022, a wave of new clients poured in and has not stopped since.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I practice personal injury law, specifically in the sphere of motor vehicle accident. Although I take one a multitude of various cases such as wrongful death, premise liability and other types of negligence cases, I pride myself on the network I have built where I only refer my clients to the best attorneys who are superior in the craft if I find myself unable to get them maximum justice.

I am most proud of the left of one-on-one communication I provide to my clients. Lawyers are already known for their lack of communication and empathy for clients; they only appear to care for themselves and unfortunately carry the reputation of keeping their interests in mind over their clients. I pride myself on going above and beyond; overdelivering on every case I handle.

We are not just your attorney; we are trustees in your affairs and are here to lend an ear and even a hand with any trials that this case has brought upon your life; from providing financial relief in the hardest of times to getting our clients set up with the best doctors in Georgia, we work as a team with our clients to get them the best results possible in their case and ensure justice is served to them.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I would not be where I am today without the assistance of other attorneys and law firm owners who gave so much of their time to me in assisting my own clients. “A rising tide lifts all boats” is the mantra my mentors live by and I can’t be more gratefulf for their support in guiding me through very complex scenarios and jumping in to enable my clients maximum success in their cases. In many instances, we team up and have multiple hands on deck to ensure clients get what they need. A few notable mentors of mine are Daniel Nagel of The Nagel Law Firm and Ibrahim Awad of the Awad Law Firm. There are many more for me to attribute credit to my firm’s success and growth, but those two in particular have been there for me from the beginning and onwards.

Pricing:

  • The industry standard contingency fee of 1/3 of total compensation collected represents the fee we take on cases worked; meaning, if we don’t succeed at acquiring compensation or do a poor job and get ourselves fired (which almost never happens), our clients owe us nothing.
