Community Highlights: Meet Sarah Polynice of Waòm Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Polynice

Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m so excited to share my journey with you all! I’m the oldest child of two incredible Christian migrants from Haiti, I was born in Newark, New Jersey, but raised in the lovely town of McDonough, Georgia just south of Atlanta.
Growing up, my family was everything—my amazing husband, my two supportive siblings, and of course, my phenomenal parents! My father is a chemist and my mother is in the healthcare field, so health and wellness have always been at the heart of our home.

From a young age, I watched my parents whip up their own herbal remedies and teas. They just knew what to reach for to heal whatever ailed them, and I totally inherited that passion! I was always the one making my own teas from scratch and loading up on supplements. It was like a little science experiment every day!

But it wasn’t until I started crafting teas for friends and family that I realized, “Wait a minute, maybe I’m meant to help others heal too!” The feedback I received was just so heartwarming. Seeing how my blends made a difference for others lit a fire in me!

I graduated from Clayton State University with a degree in supply chain management and a minor in finance. I spent a few years in the corporate world, but my heart kept pulling me toward something bigger. So, in early 2024, I took the leap into entrepreneurship and launched Waòm Wellness!

As a woman who’s fought my own battles with insulin resistance and managed to lose over 50 pounds, I knew I had to share my journey. I wanted to connect with other women struggling with their health and show them it’s possible to reclaim their best selves. That’s where my first supplement, Crave, comes in! It’s designed to help balance hormones, boost energy, and manage those pesky mood swings—perfect for women dealing with PCOS.

I truly believe that I’m here because of God’s grace. He’s guided me through every struggle, turning my battles into blessings so I can uplift others. Waòm Wellness is a passion project born from love and dedication, and it exists to serve and empower women.

I’m so grateful for this journey and can’t wait to see where it leads next!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! While I’m super grateful for where I am today, there have been some pretty tough moments along the way.

Starting out, the biggest challenge was overcoming self-doubt. I often looked around and saw other women promoting health and wellness who were already super fit. It made me question if I was enough or if I could truly inspire others. But here’s the thing: I’m still on my journey, and while I’ve hit a huge milestone by losing 50 pounds, I want other women to know that achieving that milestone is real and absolutely possible! I’m all about showing the true transparency of my journey, because we’re all in this together!

Even though I had this burning passion for health and wellness, there were times when I questioned whether I was really cut out for entrepreneurship. I had to remind myself that it was okay to stumble and that growth often comes from those messy moments.

Then there were the financial hurdles. Launching Waòm Wellness meant investing my savings, and there were days when I worried if it would all pay off. Balancing my corporate job while building my dream felt like juggling flaming torches! But I kept pushing forward, reminding myself of my mission and the women I wanted to help.

Also, navigating the health and wellness industry can be challenging. There’s so much information out there, and sometimes it feels overwhelming. I had to stay true to my vision and keep my focus on what I believe in, even when the noise gets loud.

And let’s not forget about the emotional rollercoaster! There are days filled with triumph and joy, but also days when I felt like I was trudging through mud. It’s all part of the journey, though, and I’ve learned to lean on my amazing support system—my amazing husband —when things get tough.

Through it all, I’ve grown stronger and more resilient. Each struggle has shaped me and fueled my passion even more. It’s all about embracing the journey, learning from the bumps, and continuing to move forward with love and purpose!

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m all about surrounding myself with uplifting resources that inspire and empower me! First and foremost, the Bible is my go-to. It’s like my ultimate guidebook for life, filled with wisdom and encouragement. I love using the Bible app, especially for its amazing devotionals that help me navigate through challenges and keep my faith strong.

I’m also a huge fan of podcasts! One of my favorites is “In Totality” with Megan Ashley—her raw submission to Christ and her wisdom of the Word of God are so inspiring. She shares such a refreshing perspective, and I always walk away with insights that resonate deeply with me. Another gem is “Keep It Positive, Sweetie” with Crystal Renee. Her positivity is contagious, and I always feel uplifted and inspired after listening!

And let’s not forget my wonderful community at 2819 Church with Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell! My life has changed forever from his biblically sound teachings. Being a part of this church has been a blessing, connecting me with like-minded individuals and providing a supportive environment where I can grow spiritually.

Together, these resources keep me motivated, grounded, and inspired to be my best self—both in business and in life. I truly believe in the power of community and faith to help us thrive!
