Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaniece Govan.
Hi Shaniece, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing hair in 2012 in college. I did hair initially to get through college. After graduating from FAMU, I moved to Atlanta and started at Aveda to pursue my hair career. I then found Atlanta to be home to me. I have started my journey on serial entrepreneurship & network marketing events. Hair being the foundation followed by birthing my mobile hookah business Sweet Smokez Hookah down to my new business Kandi Kurves body garnets. Hard work, prayer and my support system is how I have made it this far. God has to be firm in center in everything I do.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? No. Worth it yes!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is really everything beauty hair care, hair services, make up, products & more. It’s really a one stop shop. The atmosphere is peaceful and I am most proud of how far my brand has come. I have and will continue to break the barrier to generation wealth.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the culture, to be surrounded by so many like-minded people is phenomenal. My least favorite is the traffic.
