Today we’d like to introduce you to Someen Javed.
Hi Someen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Before real estate, I spent years in corporate America working with companies like Delta Airlines, Bank of America, Chick-fil-A, and Amazon. On paper, it looked stable and impressive. But internally, I was burned out. I reached a point where I realized I was building someone else’s vision while slowly disconnecting from my own.
There comes a moment when you understand that work should not control your life. It should align with who you are and what you are called to do. I had to ask myself what kind of impact I truly wanted to leave behind.
I found real estate through one of my closest friends, Ashley Carman. She had just started her brokerage and signed me on as her very first agent. That alone meant everything. But she did more than give me a title. She guided me. She corrected me. She invested in me. She believed in me when I was still questioning myself. She has always been the wind in my sails, and the bold agent I am today exists because someone saw my potential before I fully stepped into it.
I started with more heart than experience. I focused on people, not production. I educated my clients. I stayed in their lives even when they were not ready to buy. I cared about their long term goals and the legacy they were trying to build.
Especially for immigrant families, I saw a gap. So many come to America believing homeownership is out of reach. They do not realize they may already qualify. They do not understand how powerful real estate can be for building generational wealth. Educating them and watching their confidence grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
As trust grew, the business grew. Families referred their siblings, their parents, their friends. The numbers followed the relationships. I did not chase volume. I chased impact. Today I run a multi million dollar real estate business, but what matters most to me is the depth of the connections.
Real estate can be an emotional roller coaster. There are highs, disappointments, negotiations, and unexpected turns. But it is incredibly gratifying to be part of one of the biggest steps in someone’s life. Whether it is their first home, their upgrade, or an investment for their future, being trusted in that moment is something I never take lightly.
I absolutely love what I do. It energizes me. It stretches me. It allows me to serve people while creating freedom for myself and my family. And every step of this journey has reminded me that when you lead with faith, integrity, and genuine care, success becomes a byproduct.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road.
Real estate is emotional. It is unpredictable. One month feels like momentum and the next month feels quiet and heavy. There were seasons where business slowed down and I felt the pressure deeply. And almost like clockwork, during those slower seasons, I would get calls from former colleagues from my corporate days offering me generous packages to come back. The timing was almost surreal. It felt like I was being tested. Right when things were uncertain, stability would knock on my door.
And I had to decide.
Do I go back to what is comfortable and predictable, or do I stay committed to what I know I was called to build?
It was tempting. Corporate life offered structure, security, a steady paycheck. But every time, I felt a conviction in my spirit. I knew going back would mean walking away from my purpose. So I said no. More than once. I chose to stay. I chose to keep doing the work. I chose to pour into my sphere, nurture relationships, educate my clients, and be patient while I waited for growth.
In the middle of those seasons, my faith became my anchor. I truly would not be here without God. My husband and my family are my biggest prayer warriors. They have carried me in prayer when I felt overwhelmed or discouraged. They reminded me who I am when self doubt tried to creep in.
Being deeply involved in my Pakistani church community at Vertical Life Church Urdu has shaped me in ways I cannot fully put into words. Pastor Jamshed Hadyat and our church family have been a covering over my life and my business. Doing life with people who pray with you, challenge you, and believe in you changes how you move in every area.
There were also internal struggles. Anxiety. Comparison. Walking into rooms filled with high producers and wondering if I truly belonged. Learning to separate my worth from my production was one of the hardest lessons of my career. Deals fell apart at the last minute. Contracts did not close. There were nights of overthinking and second guessing.
But those moments refined me. They built resilience. They strengthened my faith. They forced me to grow emotionally and spiritually. Success is not built in the spotlight. It is built in the quiet seasons when nobody sees the discipline, the prayer, and the patience.
Looking back, I am grateful I did not go back. I am grateful I trusted the process. Every struggle stretched me into the leader I am today. And it proved to me that calling will always outlast comfort.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Signature Partners, but more than that, I am a storyteller, an educator, and an advocate.
Yes, I run a multi million dollar real estate business. But I did not build it by chasing numbers. I built it by going after people’s hearts. I built it by caring deeply about their stories, their fears, their long term goals, and the legacy they want to leave behind.
I specialize in residential real estate, working with first time buyers, families, and investors, but I have a special passion for serving immigrants. So many families come to America believing homeownership is out of reach. They do not realize they may already qualify. They do not know how powerful real estate can be for building generational wealth. I love educating people. I love watching the shift happen when someone realizes they are capable of owning property and creating stability for their future children.
What sets me apart is that I treat every transaction as if it is sacred. I am not here to pressure anyone into a sale. I am here to guide, educate, protect, and empower. My clients know I will tell them the truth even if it costs me a deal. I care more about their long term outcome than a quick commission.
Brand wise, I am most proud that my business is relationship driven. A large portion of my business comes from referrals and repeat clients. That means trust. That means people felt safe. That means they felt heard.
And I would be lying if I did not mention that I am nothing without the love and support of my little fur baby Minnie, my Mini Schnauzer. She has been with me through late nights, hard days, and celebratory wins. Sometimes success looks like closing a deal. Sometimes it looks like coming home to a dog who loves you unconditionally no matter what the market is doing.
If anyone would love to just sit down and chat over some coffee about dreams and goals, reach out, I’d love to hear from you!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Atlanta is how much life is here. You get real diversity, not just in people but in experiences, food, music, neighborhoods, and perspectives. I’m Pakistani, so I’ve always valued being in a place where different cultures are celebrated and you can truly feel that mix in everyday life. I also love that Atlanta gives you variety without feeling trapped in one vibe. We have four seasons, we have the city energy, and we also have nature close by, like parks, trails, and quick weekend getaways. It feels like you can build a full life here and never run out of things to explore. I could never leave Georgia!
What I like least is the traffic, especially because it affects everything. It can turn a simple plan into a whole mission and it adds stress to people’s day without them even realizing it. I also think Atlanta is growing so fast that it can feel overwhelming at times, like the roads and infrastructure are always trying to catch up with the amount of people moving here. But even with that, I still love the city, because the opportunities, the culture, and the sense of community are hard to beat.
